A scenic relaxation film showing some of the beauty of this region. There isn't only Rome :)
Lazio is an ordinary-statute region of central Italy, with Rome as its capital. With around 5.700.000 inhabitants it is the second most populated region in Italy after Lombardy, and the ninth by extension of the surface.
It borders to the north-west with Tuscany, to the north with Umbria, to the north-east with the Marche, to the east with Abruzzo and Molise, to the south-east with Campania, to the west it is bathed by the Tyrrhenian Sea . Inside there is the small enclave of the Vatican City.
In a historical and geographical sense, Lazio itself is only the territory between the lower course of the Tiber river and the Ausoni Mountains, near Terracina, and the central Apennines as the eastern limit.

Dear (caro) Still Wanderer, thanks a lot for this superb vid with drone, I am waiting for the second part, what are the musics ? Lazio : another sites like Caprarola, Ostia Antica, Villa Lante, Orte, Bomarzo, Alatri, Sabaudia, Fossanova and so on

- Lanuvio
- Monte Porzio Catone
- Terracina
- Genzano di Roma
- Castel San Pietro Romano
- Ariccia
- Roman amphitheatre in Albano
- Castel Gandolfo
Bomarzo and Orte are on my list for sure! Hoping also to do the others and finish Ostia Antica soon.. hopefully when restrictions will be finished.

May I ask what town that is at 2:00? I am trying to see if I can find another no-cars-allowed village like Civita di Bagnoregio, which we plan on seeing. This one looks like that. With your eye for spectacular beauty and picture-postcard towns, can you suggest any such towns within a couple hours of the Amalfi coast where we plan on staying? So far Civita is the one to beat in my view. Oh, and of course you have again created a beautiful view from the sky of some of Italy's greatest sights. How lucky you are! I would love to see you do a good 15 minutes soaring above and around Civita as well! Please please!
Ken thank you so much! That town is Sperlonga... Absolutely stunning town and among my favourite ever. It's not too far from Rome and it's considered one of the prettiest in Lazio, for good reasons! It was my first walk ever there...maybe I should walk it again in summer I would love to fly over Civita but I should check if it's legal as I remembered that air space is forbidden for drones :/ I'll check though and will update!
I would like to create s longer video but I thought to add them in that special playlist as they could be loaded one after the other that way. With longer videos I find it hard to collect all the "clips" and organized them by each location. Unfortunately I see that our of , let's say, 20 minutes of drone footage of a location, it's possible to use 2 minutes or so, as to not "recognise" the place too often. I see that with shorter clips they come out decently...still I find some errors here and there :/
I created a short 3 minute drone video of just the next locations I'll show here in the channel. I truly like the end result of this...maybe I could upload it even tomorrow or Sunday even!

@@StillWanderer Yes, the owners of the hotel we plan to stay at in Civita told us that as well about the area being a military no-fly zone. And yet there are dozens of beautiful drone videos from there on RUclips. I guess they did them quickly and quietly, then jumped in the car and drove off! But thank God they did. Most of them are spectacular.
@@kensellar Indeed Ken, saw some amazing drone videos myself of Civita. Truly stunning. Unfortunately yup , it's a no-fly-zone there, I try to remain legal. Saw when drone videos of Rome (!).. . some try for sure )

In answer to your question on your premier: My cat, (Hisani - female) had a small growth on her chin that would not heal. The vet took it off, trying to get down to good flesh. She has sent the mass to a pathologist for appraisal. Hisani had thyroid cancer last year. They can cure that, which they seem to have done, with one treatment of Radioactive Iodine Therapy. However, if this turns out to be cancer I will not put her through chemo - it's as rough on cats as it is on humans. She's 12 years old. I've had cats all my life - they come and they go. It's happy and sad. It's life.
Sharon, sad to hear this about Hisani.. especially because I really understand what it feels like, having had always pets around my family when I grew up too. I think that if one never lived around them like that, one can't truly fully understand. Last year we lost our dog, 15 years together, and truly like a sister..let's hope it's going to be possible to cure het and that all will be well.
@@StillWanderer Yes, having pets is a bitter-sweet experience. I've never been one to say, however, that I will never have another pet because of the pain of losing one. There are so many out there that need forever, loving homes. Losing a pet after 15 years is losing a member of the family. Maybe another cold nose will hit your hand and your heart sometime soon.
