I owned the dual sensor can for almost 5 years, just bought a new single 58L, ships tomorrow, I cannot wait! Quality product with a quality company and customer service.
I own 2 of these I love simple human they just look premium although this trashcan looks cool they don't last long typically around 3 years both trashcan died or sensor problem. They will replace it for free if it is within warranty but I would suggest get the step in can they will last forever function and looks the same minus the hassle of battery or adapter problem.

My 58L voice activated trashcan stopped staying open after 2 years of use. While replacement lids are available for $119 on their website, my trashcan was a limited production color not available online. I emailed customer support, and they provided me with a credit to purchase a new one on them! Although the longevity isn’t great, I’ve enjoyed both the trashcan and their prompt service, so I will continue to stick with simplehuman!
ah ha ha ha, it's funny how they're yelling and bending down to talk to the can in this video. Just a note that you don't have to bend down to talk to the can and you don't have to yell the command. The "open can" command works in a normal speaking voice and can work from even 10 yards away. I nick-named mine "canteberry" and it even opens with that name sometimes LOL!
My trash can doesn’t work after 1 year, the voice command and the sensor, even it’s said 5 years warranty.
