R Ski we only used the bags that came with the van and now we just use standard ones. Both work well. The custom fit ones hold almost too much trash so using the cheaper basic trash bags work the best. The fit is tight but still works well.

The trashcan is still going strong. I do have a few scratches on the black finish, especially around the rim like you mentioned because it hits the top of the marble countertop when it first opens, but after that, it learns not to go that high.
I love every function of the trash can, except being restricted to only using simple lining bags. Is there anyway you can use Glad bags or any other brand of bags in the liner slot compartment? I rather use a glad bag for its accessibility across the country, the durability, the fragrance sent to cover up oders, being the bigger brand. Theres a lot the glad bag offers, but as far as the simple liners, I''m not sure if Simple liners can offer me all that in their trash bags, right now. But i hope they do and can compete with glad bags in the future.
You can use any 13 gallon tall kitchen trash bags without issue as I mentioned in the video. They don’t hold as much garbage but it’s actually a good thing as it’s not as heavy to lift out and it doesn’t have the extra time to get stinky.

Still works well. Note you have a 5 year warranty from date of purchase if there are any issues they will just send you a new one for free. There is no way to deactivate the voice or the motion. The sensors are really good and I get less false alarms than with previous cans!
No. You can also use batteries as well. I prefer the plug-in method that way I don’t have to worry about buying batteries. But if you don’t have a location with a plug then batteries are your only option.
I Am Intractable it’s working out great. It has a nano coating which makes it very easy to clean and keep looking new. Just take a damp non-abrasive cloth and wipe off any imperfections and then dry with a non abrasive cloth. Still looks like new even with my 8 month old son smashing into it with his walker cart on a daily basis.

I haven’t noticed any odors. It’s mostly metal so I don’t think it would absorb smells like plastic might. You may also want to try better trash bags but if the odor is held in the lid the best trash bags will not make a difference.

I live in a one room apt. and when I come home i notice in the summer time the smell of the garbage can fills the room and I end up using more trash bags than i want. We love ours. Not only does it look amazing but it’s very quite and durable. Also super easy to change and replace the bags. Unfortunately that feature is not built into the can. You could put tape over the sensor though. That is the one feature that’s missing and no option to disable the voice control.
Once you miss the throw and it litters on the ground, you have to go and pick it up and throw it inside. Also - try throwing the vegetables scrap and then you will end up cleaning it yourself. Its fancy but not practical.
I never miss. Haha. The open can feature is mainly for of you have something nasty that your are throwing away and you want the can open before you get there. Like something dripping etc.

They probably could. But the battery would probably be expensive. Adding cost to the end-user and not be competitive with similar trash cans.

If they were tall enough to trigger the sensor then yes. Its detects motion not just humans. It would be hard for an cat for sure.
