I had the privilege of playing against Justin Wong in Marvel vs Capcom 2. He showed off some pretty sick tech with a low tier team: Jin, Amingo, and Ken. Hope you enjoy the video and #FreeMvC2!

The banter between you two while playing is super wholesome. It reminds me of the arcade days when you'd play against good friends and you'd bust each others' chops for bad misses and congratulate each other for matches well-played.
So weird how there was a time when these games were EVERYWHERE and now it's impossible to play this game unless you have money to burn.
unless you decide to go the illegal route of emulation which let's be honest, alot of people would simply of the obstacles in the way to play the game

Well not impossible, you can go the legally gray but much better route of emulation. It's not like getting it "legally" is benefitting anyone, not the developers, not you, not the community, and it's a hassle and a half.
This game can never be allowed to die completely. It's too much a part of fighting game history to be forgotten.
Plus, with the ratio idea it's getting a new life. Watching great players make low-tier characters work is really fun.
I honestly love mvc 2, and ive never even played it. it looks so fun to watch i cant even imagine playing it
Even if you're hyper casual like me it's a blast. This game just oozes style and replayability. Hopefully they'll rerelease it so you have a chance to try it out.
UMVC3 is on Steam but it's not quite the same

@@mirokyu I flip flop between which is my favorite. Both have awesome rosters that are both almost perfect for me. They both ooze style but they're very different styles. If only there was a hybrid between the two lol

When I was new to mvc3 and UMVC3 I had some friends who were ridiculous at the game. I always enjoyed playing with him. Yeah he beat my ass probably 75-80 percent of the time but I would learn new things as we fought. Back when I was still playing hard I was at the very least super decent with the whole cast because of playing with tournament players. It's been years but damn I want to get back to the grind.
He is a fan. Who can blame him for enjoying playing with somebody he admires?
if you know the essence of any competitive game or sport. only if you lose you gain experience and get better. winning gives you nothing skill wise
Amingo was one of my favs when i was a kid, it was so much fun to play with.
I still remember the WTF face of a friend when I Amingo raved them. Jin is also a favorite. Never thought about Ken as an assist, though.

Glad to see #freemvc2 became a thing. I hope it finally gets a proper re-release. I am lucky that I still have my old PS3 with MVC2, but it I am always anxious about the day the system dies...

This is on the Retroid 2 ! But the Graphics get patchy throughout the remainder of the game ! Really doesn't mess with controls at all !

I have a PS2 disc copy of MVC2...After years of scourring craigslist someone put Mahvel up for $40. Its my prized possession, it should be in a safety deposit box. last time I checked it was worth around $850... FREE MAHVEL

I have a burnt copy of MVC2 and I have the disc image, all you have to do is burn it onto a cd-R/cd-RW and play it on a Dreamcast. Why does everyone complain about the cost of MVC2 on DC when you can "buy it" at a Staples for $5 for a pack of 15, and an afternoon of ISO hunting?
