And I can tell you with 100% certainty that before Nolf wrestled Burroughs, he told a select few people he was going to hit JB with his own double leg…😂
Good question. When you’re analyzing your own matches, the first thing you need to be able to do is to identify techniques. When you’re taken down, ask “by what?” and “how did the technique bypass my defenses?”. Same for your successful offense and failed offense. Ask why something worked or didn’t work and then troubleshoot in the practice room. Use your film as a guide to identify what you need to get better at offensively and defensively in the practice room. So you should use your own film as a reference for evaluating where you’re at. You then need to design a training program to get rid of your weaknesses and bolster your strengths. Hope that helps!
Another thing is, Burroughs game is his gift and his curse. He has not improved as an overall wrestler almost his entire career, the caveat being he is the literal GOAT of his style
I think the chances of him making the Olympic team again are slim to none. There is still a possibility he goes for a spot at a non Olympic weight. He is about to turn 36 though so everything from here on out will be an uphill battle. Still, he’s a legend and a tough dude though so I’d never count him out
Burroughs is certainly not going to try to qualify for another Olympics. He may try to qualify for Worlds at 79kg. He will have to face Nolf again, among others like perhaps Chance Marstellar, who beat JB for the 79kg spot last year. JB should realize that there's no shame in losing to time; no wrestler defeats time.

Great breakdown!
Thank you!
Yo could you do a vid on their first match on how Jordan beat him and what changed ?
Nice breakdown, what specific things should people be watching out for when trying to analyse their own matches

Cheers, great answer
Amazing video
Thank you!
The amount of output where Nolf puts out is insane. In a world where Kyle Dake doesn’t exist , Nolf would have been the champion of the trials.

💯
Another thing is his output has severely decreased compared to how he use to attack which is probably due to age and try to be more "savvy"
How did his prior match again Mitchell Mesenbrink impact his match against Nolf?
Burrows announced he's going to try for Olympic gold one more time, does this showing against Nolf make you concerned about his chances?

Nolf beat Burroughs because Burroughs got old and slow.
