This is from the April 2018 DVD Zepp Tokyo, but I think the November 2017 version of the Studio Coast DVD is a bit better. Well, for me most of the versions that are repeated on both DVDs (eleven in total) are better on the Studio Coast ... except for "Don't You Tell Me" and "Real Existence"👍
I appreciate the shout out haha. I could talk about Misa forever! I wish I had a better understanding of the instruments they play because I can only play the drums... but want to learn bass now. Not to take away anything from the other girls because they are all so amazing to me! I just find it so rare in music to find a bassist so intricate, so transitional, so versatile, plays lead, plays transitions, plays solos, and don't even get me started on the tone she has developed... simply put her with the all time greatest bass players imo....... look you got me started again lol, Thanks Wave!!!
So there i was having peach sorbet with Kanami in Kippy's coco cream parlour in Tokyo & she said to me, "Gary your idea of us releasing a 4 disc DVD on our 10th anniversary called Decade Of The Maid, stuffed full of rare live performances, extras & easter eggs is really awesome". What a nice thing for Mincho to say.🙂
I noticed you didn't mention YOLO, so I assume you didn't do a reaction to it yet? If not I recommend doing a reaction to the official video first before the album stream, it's a banger!
YES! A JBI livestream would be awesome! The arrangement and track order on this album works so well. Back in the day there was a real art to making albums that were more than just a collection of songs and JBI ebbs on flows brilliantly. 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂
This song always reminds me of early 2010s One OK Rock. It was uploaded 2020, but it is from the April 2018 show at Zepp Tokyo, which is now available in full on Band-Maid Prime.
While I do love JBI... and Puzzle is my favorite single... the Unseen World album is unmatched. Cross is a wild song with those key changes. Great reaction. Always a good day for Band Maid.
While I respect your opinion on the new album, I'm going to have to disagree just based on personal tastes. The mixing in the new album is horrible. It is reminding me of the loudness wars of the 90s when everything came out on CDs. It's overly compressed and Kanamis guitar tone sounds like a shrieking cat. I miss the old Band Maid production where every instrument had its own space.
@@muttenmagroo Yeah have to agree, I do love the new album, but you're right I'm not a fan of the mixing on that album. It reminds me Rush's Vapor Trails, which was probably my first experience of horrible mixing.
Just Bring It is to me, without question, their best album. It was the first album where they wrote all their own lyrics and music - and it had the raw energy of all their creativity that had been bottled up for years released in a magnificent rock and roll album. If I was told I could only listen to one Band-Maid album for the rest of my life... it would be an easy choice. Just Bring It.

MISA MISA MISA! 2 things I would like to point out ( this may get long) 1 MOST people will tell you that B-M wrote/write everything since Alone NOT TRUE Cross is a prime example of 3 yes 3 songs on Just Bring it Mincho did NOT write the other 2 are Ooparts and Time YES Miku does the lyrics for Time and gets co-credit for Cross, then there is Smile written by the same person that wrote Thrill and most of the first album. 2 The second version was live so It is harder to pick up BUT the studio version was done Prior (early 2017) to Sai-chans surgery and the Zepp Tokyo Okyu-ji was Apr 2018 after the surgery, Sai-chans Vocals are soo much stronger in the Live and with less (just as smidge) Miku backing as it wasn't needed but still made it sound good
Saiki consistently sounds better live than she does on the album tracks. It's like she's gotten time to think about how she sings it and is able to do it in a more refined way. Also, I often feel like on the big choruses there are more than just their two or three voices. Do you think they just have a backing track ready with the extra vocals or do they like, use some kind of doubler effect? Or am I just wrong about that? c.c
Love Band Maid. My favorite group since discovering them in 2019. How about doing a reaction to the Japanese band from the 80's that inspired all these newer rock/metal Japanese bands that you been reacting to, X Japan. Here is a link to their song "Kurenai" from their "Last Live" concert. ruclips.net/video/8ArAnXLbFck/видео.html
I agree. And would add, Show-Ya. The 1980s+ a band that inspired countless Japanese girls to aspire to be rock stars. No Show-Ya would mean no Aldious, no Band-Maid, no Bridear, no Cyntia, no Destrose, no Lovebites, no Mary's Blood, probably no Nemophila... Show-Ya changed a lot of peoples' minds as to what women were capable of regarding heavier music, bold presentation, even standards of beauty. Keiko Terada was attractive but NOT the classic kawaii ideal. Yet within a year or so of their fame, she was voted "Sexiest woman in Japan." Show-Ya changed everything for women in rock.
I’ve always said Miku is the most impressive to me: - founded the band then took a step back from lead vocals - found Kanami - learned to play guitar from scratch - has to keep up with Saiki AND Kanami on stage, in a live environment - still writes the lyrics She’s done a metric fuckton of work to get to where she is and left ego out of it. Mad respeck.
Here's a killer song that seems to be almost a deep cut in the Japanese metal. I haven't seen anyone react to it yet. Features Fuki and Jill from Unlucky Morpheus Fuki - Bloody Rain ruclips.net/video/lRarw9Ysmd8/видео.html
I love every song from this album.👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Hope you will react to "ooparts" soon in the future since no reactor reacting to this song but Old Mr B n Dicodec on their last band-maid twitch album reaction. Thank you so much, Greattttttt breakdown as always 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Guys, I am a huge fan of Band-Maid, they’re my favorite band! But John Henry has a point about this song! Around the middle of the song right before a change up there’s a noise that kinda sound like something has failed, idk it is a brief glitch that isn’t played on any instrument, you’ll hear the same glitch on the recording! Someone please explain
It's almost like an mp3 compression artifact. I remember when I was a lot younger and poor I had downloaded a version of Master Of Puppets that had a few of them.

I think it's a wonderful idea to listen to the studio and the stage at the same time. I enjoyed it very much, thank you from Japan.
Band Maid is a-MAID-zing !!!!
This was their Zepp 2018 concert which was their greatest to date. Good luck getting the blu ray.
