I have done personal training with Jake and Y! Very supportive. Tailor made to the event I was training for. Very careful to make sure I learned movements properly, work around injuries and pushed me hard to reach maximum potential. Thanks 4 the episode Upflip.
This business could be run for far lower start up cost if necessary in my opinion. Once you pay the $250/month facility rent, all you really need are a few Olympic weight sets that you can buy used for much less on Facebook marketplace etc. The best exercises are the simple compound movement like bench press, deadlift, squat, etc. and can be used repeatedly for excellent results. No need for $400 + barbells that do nothing better than a regular barbell from any high school gymnasium. Raw effort, motivation, determination, and physical effort are what make you successful in the gym, not expensive equipment. Good technique is also helpful and can be learned from experienced lifters and fitness enthusiasts. To be honest you only really need a bench, a barbell, some weights and a positive attitude to have a raging successful fitness business. Everything else just helps keep you motivated and make you look like you know what you're doing.
Great vid. I like the part where they talk about scaling... You dont want to scale too quick because you lose focus and you dont have consistency. Thanks for sharing!
This is an amazing video with great points. I especially liked the story about girlfriend/coach that talks about doing with thing very well and to avoid "shiny object syndrome". So true! Keep up the great work! Look forward to seeing more of your content.
This is a really nice story. Thank you guys! Please can you give your interviewer more training? It was difficult to watch as he kept interrupting and looking elsewhere.
In fact, be prepared to develop customer sources, and then import fitness equipment from international markets such as China, because the prices are low. Finally, you can get money and profits. I wish you all have a good business future.
I would be terrified to start a business with just a credit card. That guy has balls! haha Where do you find these people to interview at? Are you in the big city or something? Scaling is an even scarier part of the business as well seeing as how you could have started a successful business but if you try to grow to quickly then you can demolish your entire success.
Interesting video. I never thought about starting a gym or business of that nature. Where do you get your ideas for who to interview and what type of businesses to focus on? Good job on the interview.
Indeed ,you have to make customers ,that is key ,and then do some importing for gym from china, cause the price will be a good reason and then you can get profile ,all we know, gym is will bring a good future for us ,and just like the equipment ,gym products, come on ,I can do this for u~
Only thing easier than opening a gym is watching it go under. There is simply too much cheap fitness equipment available for people to spend time and money at gym.
This is misleading - few will succeed like he did - I'd say there is a 12% success rate in this industry. Everyone else is now bankrupt, and their main meal is the soup kitchen at 4th & Broadway. The drug addict is just looking for his next fix
I try to never be negative online, because that's shitty and everyone does it. The host looks like those chickens with too many feathers on their head...and you're like wtf is that? And like a chicken he's always looking somewhere else. Asks a question then looks off like he heard a spooky noise. Perhaps it's the meth.?.!

Not when your a drug addict looking for your next fix
The guy doing the INTERVIEWING, acts like he's not even paying attention a lot of the time.
Welcome to GEN Z-ombie

He clearly doesn't workout
Noticed the same thing in video about auto workshop, dude was checking his phone, rude as hell.
He’s young still better than many people
Great vid. I like the part where they talk about scaling... You dont want to scale too quick because you lose focus and you dont have consistency. Thanks for sharing!
For sure, great point to take!
You also have to account for the trainers who are looking for their next fix - word
What an inspiration....sometimes we think that money is the only thing that's stopping us but it isn't.....
For sure! It's all in the mindset.

1/3000 gyms survive - wake up jack

I know right! His hard work definitely paid off. And we just reach out to businesses in our city to do interviews!
The personal trainer quit too early. I know some people that failed 5 times, but they still went for it and eventually got into the LPN, RN program.
Interesting video. I never thought about starting a gym or business of that nature. Where do you get your ideas for who to interview and what type of businesses to focus on? Good job on the interview.
Glad you liked it! Ideas come by simply doing research or driving by a business that looks interesting ;)

I’m assuming he started with a business credit card right? Great video lots of insight in this

Wait did she say Bellingham, every time I’m like oh cool idea then find out it’s also in Whatcom 😅
He hires drop-outs- not impressed
How many of them high ?
Almost $200 for a monthly membership 😮
This interviewer kid needs media training, so awkward.. Cool video idea thou
This interviewer is super cringing and not confident.
Sorry about that! We'll aim to do better. Anything you liked about the video? ☺️
He needs his next fix

Our hosts are constantly trying to improve so we will work on this.
I'm sure the blonde is paying a lot less
And yes, the Meth head is not helping
What is wrong with the interviewer🤯
Th interviewer could not relate to this video
Hes just looking in random directions for his next fix
Very insightful video
