This clip is hilarious. JP thinks most thought should be abandoned through self-immolation. What about those eureka moments when you know it's a good idea or rather having learned by habit the self-discipline of behavior? His use of language is mortifying, believing in the fear of moral death. Turns out all men are liars and sometimes they don't know that they are lying or repeating a lie. He is humorous in his presentation. It's comedic.
Well, that's an excellent question, Doc. So, it begs to be questioned: why, then, are we being blocked, flagged, & reported by you & your constituents? Sadly disappointing. Se la vie...
There should not be any question in anyone's mind, that if Jordan could, he would not allow anyone to speak that is transgender ... simply because Jordan does not believe that "those people" even exist. These are Jordan’s Peterson’s extremely hurtful words (verbatim) … “Gender identity and gender expression are not valid ideas. They are not true. There is no evidence for it. I don’t know what the options are, if you don’t identify as a man or a woman. There is an idea that there’s a gender section. I think that is an ill-informed opinion. Gender identity and sexual orientation are the same thing. I don’t believe these people, these terms, stand for good things. I think these people use these terms as a pretense that they stand for good things; as a pretense for them to carry on their nefarious activities.”
From a scientific point of view, Jordan makes sense. If you want to promote a different belief, then you need to deal with opposition. The claim of hurt feelings is unfortunately weaponized to keep people from speaking their thoughts, and therefore can't be taken into account. Yes, he'd let you speak, but he'd debate your arguments.
@@solaveritas2 Being that Jordan has hundreds of podcasts on countless subjects that stray from his teachings as a psychologist, I find it odd that you think anyone is trying to take away his freedom of speech. The Board of psychologists in Ontario after receiving many complaints from irate citizens about Jordan disabusing his license as a psychologist on social media, felt moved to take Jordan to court ... and that is what got Jordan into trouble. Do you think it fair that Jordan should have been able to USE his license as a psychologist to say whatever came to his mind on any subject to in turn make millions of dollars on social media ... while other psychologists should stick to the rules that they signed up for by counseling just a few people each day in their stuffy offices? Jordan might think he is so entitled ... but I disagree.
Jordan only respects his own freedom of speech. He would like nothing better than to shut everyone up that agrees with that word transgender. Don't let him fool you. I'm an Atheist, yet I found this book very interesting, as it helped me to understand the suffering of those who are transgender and are often perceived as "sinners" by those in religions, who look “down” on them. In the quest to feel normal, this person 6 ft. 3 inches in size, as an adult changed genitals from male to female.
From the book … God Doesn’t Make Mistakes: Confessions of a Transgender Christian … author … Laurie Suzanne Scott … I was compelled to write this book, because I could no longer just idly sit by and listen to Christians in total ignorance talk about how people who are transgender are out to destroy families, attack women and girls in bathrooms, pump children full of hormones and ruin society in general. Nor could I allow Christians who are transgender complain about “evangelical church” (referring to predominantly conservative Christians) and how hateful and un-Christ-like it was. I am a conservative evangelical Christian who is transgender, so I am likewise hurt when I see a similar ignorance displayed toward churches and people with whom I identify.
@@user-vp5wg1rs8l I suggest that it's the new testament and all the other so-called holy books that resulted in humans having so much mental illness, that in turn resulted in suicide. But there is hope, as there are now hundreds of ex members of clergy that have joined The Clergy Project, to find employment elsewhere. From Apostle to Apostate: The Story of the Clergy Project … authors … Catherine Dunphy, Richard Dawkins As former clergy who have left churches of every denomination, synagogues, mosques, convents, monasteries, and theological institutions, we stand as examples of the reasonableness of doubt and its thoughtful conclusions. I cannot help but think that we offer a compelling voice for why science and secularism do a better job than religion and superstition of answering the so-called ultimate questions.

Jordan is not trying to shut up people for their beliefs. He questions the activism around transgendersim, he also harshly criticises those who immorally profit from (and therefore promote) medical treatments and surgeries, and rightfully so. You too, should be on the side of young people who are convinced by social media and activism that transitioning will alleviate their teenage angst and discomfort with their own bodies. When left alone, most of these kids will grow out of it and/or grow up to be gay. The studies are clear on this. You should also be on the side of women who have a right to no male genitalia in their changing rooms and to fair competition in sports. Unless you defend this, you are part of the problem!

It would help them to learn how to communicate with others more effectively. I know that there are many out there with the connections and resources for this kind of project.
I do believe that at least 3 billion People out of the 8 point Whatever billion people would be receptive to receiving it. And I know that for many it would be of great help, therefore, worth the effort. I have had my copy for over 30 years out of my present 62 years, and it has been for me a great help in communicating with others.
The other result would be, people would be better verbally equipped for addressing the false narratives of our leaders. :-}
1921. I thought copyright ended after 100 years. I could be stupid and wrong!
Find out if it's been added to the Gutenberg project.
Thank you for the Reply@@wheel-man5319 , I looked and it was not there. But i do again thank you for directing me to the Gutenberg project site. Great information, and resource, I did not know that it existed. I have book marked it, and will use it. Sincerely :-} PACratt :-}
I don't agree. We teach our children to think BEFORE they speak. We don't teach them to talk and think at the same time stumbling mistakenly with every word. The wise person shares their innermost thoughts only with the wind. The deepest "right" is to be able to keep silent. Once a person has mastered silence, then they can learn how to speak. Language is ambiguous at best and the source of all misunderstanding.
Love ya JP but that suit doesn't suit you imho.
Thank you always for every video.
Speak up while you still can.
Are people eating while Dr. Peterson is speaking? That must be so distracting.
I myself wondered how Dr. could surpass that ?? I couldn't do it myself
Lotsa dead wood in the forest
👅
Hi Jordan, I love your work but, and I apologise for this, the suits. I think they compromise your power, make you look divided, gimmicky, dodgy even. This one makes you look like a court jester and unserious
Yeah I don't like some of the new suits either, this one isn't the worst of them though. I suspect that the company that makes these for him secretly hate him and try to make him look as non serious and ridiculous as possible. The Twitter suit was an absolute abomination.
@@solaveritas2 following your reply, I've just googled the twitter suit, and yes it's even worse. I find this new look of his really off putting. I don't get it. I'd feel more comfortable listening to him if he went back to his old, unflashy self
Who wears that?
You’re right…It’s not true you don’t have courage, you support 8000+ Palestinian deaths and want the rest to be “given hell”
Hi friend of satanyahu 👋
Is he at a restaurant or something? Theres so much clinking.
Audience is fuckin annoying when they clap every other sentence Jordan says
“You’re currently learning who supports genocide. That’s the line for me. What’s more heartbreaking than witnessing genocide? Witnessing the denial that genocide is happening.” - Maha Dakhil
Regarding Free Speech... Did you know Maha Dakhil, one of the most successful agents in Hollywood, lost a series of high-profile connections and was forced to resign from her CAA board position because of the above comments? Did you know France banned all Pro-Palestinian protests around mid-October? Do you know how the United States is currently working against campus-based pro-Palestinian demonstrations?
If Jordan Peterson never addresses the enormous suppression of Free Speech around Israel/Palestine--a GLARING modern day issue as it pertains to freedom of expression--DOES HE REALLY BELIEVE IN FREE SPEECH?... Or does Free Speech depend on who's paying the bills? Because, then, the biggest campaign donors are determining our freedoms, aren't they?
Someone who dresses like a court jester deserves to be laughed at....and given no credibility at all......"but, but I'm suffering from a nervous breakdown", claims Peterson......I don't care.
Please don't be so sophisticated. if your judeo-christion tradition is so strong why majority of Europeans left and Atheist ?
This clip is hilarious. JP thinks most thought should be abandoned through self-immolation. What about those eureka moments when you know it's a good idea or rather having learned by habit the self-discipline of behavior? His use of language is mortifying, believing in the fear of moral death. Turns out all men are liars and sometimes they don't know that they are lying or repeating a lie. He is humorous in his presentation. It's comedic.
Immolater immolate thyself. Nice word immolate.
Go away joker..
were you abused in the past?simply due to displaying any cruelty to kindness is the result of showing prior kindness to cruelty.
Iam far more less cruel than him that's for sure.
So you are a theist.
From Apostle to Apostate: The Story of the Clergy Project … authors … Catherine Dunphy, Richard Dawkins
As former clergy who have left churches of every denomination, synagogues, mosques, convents, monasteries, and theological institutions, we stand as examples of the reasonableness of doubt and its thoughtful conclusions. I cannot help but think that we offer a compelling voice for why science and secularism do a better job than religion and superstition of answering the so-called ultimate questions.
@@rosebuza967 I used to believe in the existence of a creator ... but at age 70 I left that system of belief behind, and chose to believe that the universe always existed ... no creator ... no plan ... and that suffering of all forms of life ... always was ... and is ... natural.
I'm 84 years of age now ... and feel at peace with the idea that if I am as kind and empathetic as each situation allows ... I can't do any better than that.
@@solaveritas2 As is Jordan ... are you also transphobic?
Peterson is dressed as the Joker because unfortunately, he became exactly that. He chose the extreme right ideology and religious zealotry instead of what he suppose to adhere to, which is science and facts. Very sad.
@victorguzman2302
Good day. What do you mean by extreme right ideology?
Extreme right from your point of view maybe. I don't see it, these are leftist arguments.
