For someone who lives in Portland for their whole life( I’m 27) it’s absolutely hilarious to watch your local government scratch their head wondering why things are the way they are.
After work, I stopped by a Vons here in California to pick up some cheese. There was an obese/purple hair/goth/they/them person (they all look the same) giving the deli worker a really hard time. The older Filipina woman behind the counter asked again to confirm the type of cheese. The fat chick said "White American, and I resent that you made me say that but whatever"... I didn't even grow up in the US and it makes me mad Americans are allowing this to happen to them.

An acquaintance of mine lives in hawaii, not sure what island. He sold his car in connecticut to be able to afford one of those dinky little moped scooters. Connecticut sucks but moving to hawaii seems like one of the only financially worse places to live.
Sounds nice but the main issue with Hawaii is that you are stuck on a small island and anywhere else is a 5 to 9 hour flight at least.

I moved out of OC CA in 2015 as a cook, Moved to Oklahoma and started and an Electricians' Apprentice, bought a house in 2018 for $120k at a 2.9% interest rate. Watched the world go to shit while my houe gained another 100k in value. Move tf away.

Most cities in Orange County (just south of LA) are nice and pretty conservative compared to the rest of the state, but still expensive since they’re right on the coast. San Diego also has a decent amount of conservatives I’ve noticed. But anything more than an hour away from the coast is pretty much just meth heads and crime unless you’re going to woodsy/mountainous vacation spots like Big Bear or Lake Tahoe
Just live in Mexico and commute to San Diego. Tijuanas more livable than half that state
The beaches are nice, Fresno and Bakersfield aren’t for the faint hearted.

That’s how we pay for a ton of stuff and the population grows a retarded amount every year so the turnover on real estate and property taxes in general keeps going up. The worst part of central FLA is the homeowners insurance and traffic now. Driving to Tampa when I was in high school in 09 took an hour tops. Now, sometimes 2.5 if youre unlucky. The sheer population of Latinos moving to Kissimmee is unfathomable until you see it for yourself. Our per capita 17:21 on big booty Latinas in nearly untouched tho and I thank God for them.

Better work environment, better COL in certain states like Minnesota, and better state policy. @@JM-nt5exdude Colorado is a little rough. For me at least... Idk if you only take in to consideration the working environment but everything else is kind of crazy. It is getting more expensive week by week. Land is diminishing and price of land has super skyrocketed. Gas is wild. Meat is wild. Electric prices are wild. I had a home in Louisiana for half the price and double the square footage and more modern PLUS 50 acres of privacy. There were no mountains to look at but F*ck it.. is was so much cheaper and the food is like the best in the country although lots of overweight people. If you like the suburbs then yeah I guess you’ll like it. It’s like endless suburbs and townhouses here to the point where when your driving through (the country) your driving past townhouses for miles and they obscure your view of the mountains. I’d rather see nature instead. I chose to live in a place where it’s not so crowded but if you like that stuff then yeah you’ll love it. I like space. Cities are a nightmare.
