No one is impressed by this win. You cannot say Stipe looks remotely similar to the one that fought DC. Because that one would actually give Jones problems
Part of me thinks Dana is actually losing sight of reality during fights. He said Jake Paul couldn't knock out Tyson - he wasn't even trying to hurt him as the fight looked like an exhibition. He also said Stipe was slowed down by body shots and turned up in great condition - he didn't look good at all and showed his age.
Stipe looked like stipe, that’s how he fights. It’s not as easy to knock out Jon at 42, but he looked good, that spin kick was nasty. I do wish it was prime stipe, but prime stipe was only 5-6 years younger.
@Floridaman2015 What? Miocic looked old, slow and stiff. Even the commentary team noticed it. He's 42 coming off of a 4 year layoff. This isn't rocket science.
You wouldn't even be able to move after getting 20 elbows to the dome, he got up, landed some uppercuts, some powerful jabs, but got his body kicked a couple of times and it took its toll.

He is no longer the GOAT if he is choosing his fights and targeting 8th place fighters. There shouldn't ever be 2 belts, and when there is you must combine them immediately. Stipe looked like he was in great physical shape, doesn't change the fact that he looked slow, he looked exhausted almost immediately, he looked like he didnt wanna be there. Oscar asked that best question in is there a time limit before we get Jones - Aspinall or Jon needs to relinquish the belt, Tom can't wait forever, he's already been waiting too long, it's not fair on the future goat of the heavyweight division.
Dana won't admit that Stipe was ranked #8 at the time of this fight, in a weight division that's not very deep at all. The fact he hadn't fought in 4 years made that #8 ranking look too high for him cause he had zero fight left in him.
1:31 stipe looked slow and unbalanced . I dont get how beating the 8th ranked heavyweight who has not fought for 4 years adds to anyones legacy. This does not add to jones . No one think izzy beating Anderson isnone of his greates accomplishments
Dana is a total joke now. How did this fight vs Stipe do anything for Jones legacy. Stipe looked 70 in there from the beginning. 80% of fans would have rather seen Jones fight Aspinall, or at least an active fighter.
Yeah but he got these two legacy assets squared off, pumped them for the payout, and now he can make the Aspinal-Jones fight that everyone asked for anyway. With even more hype around it, and after getting an extra payday. He made the right bet.
Jon went on a twitter rant and told the ufc to release him because they wouldn't pay him 30 million to fight Ngannou 😂 Jon had said "I'm not fighting that guy for 8-10 million it's not enough for a fight of that magnitude" those were his words. He priced himself out of the fight on purpose. So Ngannou left then literally the next day Jon signed a contract to fight Gane for around 6-7 million... but that apparently wasn't enough when it was Ngannous name on the contract. He ducked Ngannou big time. Now he's ducking Aspinall.
It doesnt matter if stipe looked in shape. Tony ferguson completed the david goggins hell week after his 6th loss and then lost again. The age shows in durability, speed, and recovery time. Strength and steady state cardio doesnt suffer as fast

If any one thinks he's going to do the same to any other top heavyweight they're delusional, we need to see Jon against Tom to see how good both really are.
The fights gonna happen. Dana won’t put Jones against anyone else. The only reason this fight seemed weird is because they had to reschedule it because of injury when it was originally scheduled it was the fight to make
Jon looked good to me and this is from someone who thinks he’s a 🦆. Stipe looked completely compromised but I thought Jon fought a controlled and calculated fight. You’ve got to remember Jon isn’t some marauding monster that finishes everyone he wears guys down and wins via decision a lot of the time
I don't think he looked special in his last fight but it's still enough to make his opponents look terrible. I think it's the fact that his heavy weight body is a dad bod that throws people off.Hes still deadly
he actually put himself in a horrible position for negotiations with jones. jones can ask for whatever he wants (he already said he wants a jake paul mike tyson like payday) and dana has to ether give it to him and have nowhere of the earnings like that fight had, or jon walks away and the ufc will have to withstand the biggest sh*tstorm in their history and permanently damage their brand, especially the heavyweight division. He should have made the legacyfight with stipe after tom, from a financial and a athletic standpoint. The number of people who are interested in that fight didn't grow at all from this circus, maybe the interest of some people who are already into mma got bigger, but not a single new fan was won, not a single new subscription was made. He is handling this horribly
If Jon beats Tom and sticks around for one more fight against Alex and wins. It would be hands down the greatest accomplishment of any MMA fighter ever. If he really wants to cement his legacy. That would certainly do it.
Dude his legacy is already there. He beat 3 generation of fighter, is basically undefeated, youngest champion in UFC, champ in 2 division and defeated the greatest Heavy weight ever. If it wasnt for the PED, NOBODY has a better resume then Jon Jones by a mile and nobody will for the next 50 years.

If he beats Aspinall he doesn’t need a Pereira fight, I think people are really putting Pereira on a mythical pedestal which just isn’t reality. Pereira has beaten a bunch of middleweight and light heavyweight strikers, I’m not sure how that exactly translates to him being able to have success against heavyweights that can grapple
At 2:05 oh they see it Dana make no mistake these jones haters definitely see it that’s why they want him to lose so bad and tom looks like their best bet, let’s just be honest adults here he doesn’t HAVE to fight tom, that’s just what the people who dislike jones and desperately want to see him finally get smashed want, they’re not even real tom fans 😭😭😭😭😭
I personally liked Jones (as a fighter) before this whole Aspinall thing. I still like him as a fighter, but I respect him less now. I agree he doesn’t have to fight Tom, of course not, but then he should vacate. The undisputed heavyweight champion should always have to fight the interim champion. Jones hater or not, it’s just logic. Otherwise what’s the point? Jones has gone out of his way to make excuses as to why he doesn’t want to fight Tom.
The issue here is Jones holding the title. Tom is interim. The best HW should have the HW title.. It really is as simple as that. Jones NEEDS to fight Aspinall or vacate the belt.
Maybe Jones really was just publicly negotiating, trying to get that bag for fighting Aspinall. Or he realized he ran out of options, if he wants to keep fighting.

@@demond2134 he's not gonna be able to pressure Aspinall since Aspinall is bigger than him and has good grappling, and at HW he's not fast enough to move around quickly, so he's gonna be forced to fight with the back foot, everytime Aspinall throws a fast flurry he's gonna lean and run back with his hands forward trying to eye poke him, after that Aspinall is gonna corner him and starch him quite easily since he's younger, faster, stronger and way more explosive. Jones could still be a light heavyweight if needed.

People acting like Jon is a natural heavyweight when he it not. He's a bloated up lightheavyweight .
Honestly, Stipe didn't deserve to be fed to JJ like that! Fuc Dana, But that being said, JJ destroys Aspinal probably...
Fester creaming his pants over Jones beating another fighter way past his prime. Stipe did it for the money and didn't move his head once.
😎😎😎
Maybe Jones really was just publicly negotiating, trying to get that bag for fighting Aspinall. Or he realized he ran out of options, if he wants to keep fighting.
You talk like you’re a LeBron fan…..stop different sport but you sound like a chump!
He definitely publicly negotiating
Or he just beat Stipe and felt on top of the world and changed his mind. Never under estimate Jonny boy's ego.
@@TheButcher-w7z who else he gonna fight at this point, none of the heavyweights messing with him fr.
@@Nate_rare Lol. if you say so. My money is on Tom but I'm absolutely not convinced Jon will fight him. In fact I'd be willing to bet he won't.
Connor IS back in 25!!!!
25 century😂
Back after 25 cans.
Late 25 😂
Back to the future😂
Damn I thought Onama vs Romero was good for a bonus.
Tom aspinall is better
Prime or otherwise
Definitely not, Cry more jones GOAT 🐐
aspinoll is 5-6 years younger then jon .. so you wanna see a young lad vs a old man ..or is that excuse only built in for white fighters who arent good enough to ever beat jon jones? 😂 cry more . In mma jon vs francis or pierra is the only fight that is worth a training camp. Period .. cry more
He's ASSpainal
No. Jon will dismantle him. Prepare yourself.
24:54 if you've missed dana saying it
Funniest part of these whole thing classic Dana
Dana i see what you’re doing, changed your mind now, jones old now if tom beats him you got a new young champion who gonna reign for years, smart business man😎
Jones is gonna shatter Tom’s ACLs and he’ll never be the same again
@@demond2134jones would get slept in 2 minutes tops
@@JoesphHogan we’ll see
He already has that new young champion who's gonna reign for years, nobody with a brain is buying his Jones bullshit. Now most people can see how much of a liar and how manipulative he is. Most people cheer for Aspinall because it's so obvious he's the real HW champions and the UFC is becoming a fucking clown show.
Basically they are gonna play cat and mouse but Tom is gonna get him.
Im diggn the new intro! Congrats!
Stipe looked good?! What are you on about?! He was just as bad and slow as Mike Tyson against Jake Paul!!
Jon Jones is also the sports most prolific cheater. No cheater will ever be the greatest of all time to legitimate sports fans. Dude is a cheater beyond anything else, and had he not been given special treatment and 20 second chances he would have been banned from the sport a lonnnnnnggggg time and stripped of his records just like histories other cheaters. But nope, not Jonny boy. He is doing Cocaine right now as we speak 😂 Jones is the most talented disappointment in all of sport. I’ll be glad when he is gone. Stipe didn’t deserve to be done like that by the UFC. Set up fight no one wanted to see, went exactly how Uncle Dana wanted lol
Stipe looked like a grandpa. Literal elder abuse
I guarantee he would still end you quick.
But he always looks like that and somehow still gets it done. He got beat up in round 1 and handicapped him that's why he was moving slower and hesitant but you've never seen stipe fight before hahahahaha
Gane looked worst vs Jones
@@tommy2swole jon fanboy coping mad lol
@@light-qe3gv ironic
Stipe looked old and slow tonight, and looked like a turtle when on his back (when he fought DC he was actually able to scramble and get back up!!)
Jon looked great though, and was actually doing damage with his strikes on the fight
The only time it makes NO SENSE to say “pound for pound” is when you are talking heavyweight. Think about it.
You're not very bright
The whole discussion is fruitless really. But if you're gonna have it everyone needs to be included that's kinda the whole point. Back in the day there was no weight class and they could actually figure those things out but now it's all theory.
especially when a light fly weight would absolutely pepper a heavyweight and avoid everything they threw with ease
@@TheButcher-w7zliterally none of what you said makes any sense, you must be liberal.
P4P has nothing to do with "inclusivity" - if everyone was the same weight, who'd win? "Including everyone" is NOT the whole point.
And open weight doesn't answer that. A 140lbs man fighting a 220lbs doesn't answer P4P, they're not the same weight.
Keep your thoughts to yourself.
Pound for pound works with every weight class… pound for pound best fighter ever with whoever that steps in the ring as a opponent
Jon looked good because Stipe looked so bad. Aspinall by whatever he wants.
He didn’t even look good tbh
Yeah gane looked great vs jon.. NOT! Tom is done in round 1 just like gane.
@@ximmolation if you think Tom is the same fighter at Gane then you should watch something else. There is a reason Gane ducked Tom as well.
@@danielharley8374 i dont think he is but you definately did until jon made it look easy.
@@ximmolation What are you talking about? You said you think Jon beats Tom in round 1 like he did to Gane. Which is ridiculous. Gane’s ground game (lack of) was exposed early. Tom is a black belt. I watched how slow JJ looked last night and I believe Tom finishes him with ease, and early. Just use your eyes pal.
Musk should do the decent thing and give Stipe a chunk of cash for an evenings entertainment.
Guy wants people to work for free lol. I can't see it happening
And send me a bit too
Don't forget it took Jon 1 year to negotiate stipe. Hence why they never thought not to do it.
