I'm not Catholic but in James 5:16 it does say to confess your sins, so others may pray for you and you can be healed. Praying in your secret place is a thing, but so is having other believers pray for you.
As an ECO Catholic, I really appreciate the boys being mature enough to have a Sunday school teacher on to talk about religious stuff. The lore alone of the Abrahamic religions is so cool to listen to. Wendigoon is a top 10 guest in my opinion.

This was a complete misrepresentation of Catholicism. I’d be happy to have a conversation on what Catholicism actually teaches regarding the various topics mentioned such as Mary/the saints, confession and other practices, doctrines, dogmas etc. would happily debate in whichever format you’d like.

I think I pray everyday or least talk to "God" everyday. I am always asking, talk, and whatever to it everyday naturally. Does anyone else do this? Like begging it whenever something happens, asking things from it, asking it questions, trying to appease it, understand it, etc? I do it a lot lol.
I realise Protestants have a lot of problems with us, from our rejection of Five Solas, to the papacy, to the intercession of Mary and saints, to transubstantiation and what not, but maybe have a decent argument and not spill a bunch of ignorant false accusations. I really like Wendi and I also like a good theological critique from acknowledged Protestants (watch Dr. Jordan B. Cooper or Gospel Simplicity for example), but this was utter crap.
Fortunately as Catholics, we have nothing to prove🤷♂️

The catholic church conversation was extremely braindead. Confession originated from the Didache (written by the church fathers) and was based on the belief that Jesus gave his followers in John 20:21-23. Not only was it not used for political gain, it was an excommunicable offense for a priest to do so.
Indulgences also weren't a "way to pay your way into heaven" but were instead a form of penance used to make rich people donate more to charities or local churches (which provided healthcare and the like). They were a way for the pope and bishops to incentivize charity and were based on the belief that the rock of the church can "loose on heaven" what they "loose on earth", as Christ says.
Finally, Taylor, just because you joke about people being upset at you for misunderstanding core beliefs of theirs, doesn't mean you're shielded from such criticism. You have an audience and, as such, a responsibility to get your facts straight if you're going to comment on their practices. Spreading misinformation and hiding under a veil of your own ignorance to save face is objectively evil.

Can definitely say, handling snakes is not a typical Pentecostal practice, AT ALL. Must definitely be some weird offshoot. I grew and was raised in pentocostal church, and....no. Not a thing anywhere I went by any means.
It's a fairly small movement within Pentacostalism. There's only about just over over 100 individual churches that do it with only a few thousand adherents and it's concentrated in Appalachian and the eastern seaboard.

I can definitely understand not agreeing with biblical demons, but to me it seems like saying, “there’s nothing I’ve seen or heard that I can’t explain with my ears or eyes.” Seems a bit arrogant. No matter how secular the person, there’s many things people can’t explain. Well if you’re a Christian, you got your faith from the Catholic Church, the only church instituted by Jesus Christ himself. Catholic actually means universal. It’s the universal church. Until Martin Luther broke off when he did. That’s when all the different sets of Christianity started. Just watered down versions of the Catholic Church, due to man’s personal preference. And when the Catholic Church wanted to “be in power” or however you wanna word it. It’s not for the church to be in power, it’s to give the power to God.

You are completely wrong about confession. The rule of the Catholic Church is that a priest may not ever divulge information in a confession at risk of excommunication, even if what was confessed was a crime. Literally, if you were a hitman who had killed thousands and you wanted to confess that to your priest you could at no legal risk.
That's the beauty of confession. The priest literally tells you to "go in peace" after you tell your sins. As well as that, there's a much more literal feeling of accountability when you have a symbol of holiness sitting on the other side of that confession booth. Someone who is absolutely closer to God than you are, a priest. That is not to say priests are perfect and obviously the whole pedophilia issue is a whole other can of worms (a can of worms that isn't endorsed by the Catholic church.)
My messages here won't help, though. If you are protestant, the very minimum I would ask of you is to try a confession. They don't take very long and I can promise you that you will understand why many Catholics hold confession in such a high regard.

Confession gives the church dirt on people just so it can be thrown back down to the earth. It actually gives us Catholics a better "relationship with Jesus" than evangelicals could ever hope for, despite them stressing it so much, because we actually have a system of engagement with the sin that Jesus took on the cross: knowing it entirely, and then having it forgiven. There are many priests in heaven because they refused to divulge sins confessed by powerful people and were killed for it. In fact, California recently tried to enact legislation requiring priests to act as witnesses to crimes if they heard a confession with the criminal, and basically every priest in the state responded "we'll take the obstruction of justice charge."
Below is the relevant scripture, wherein the apostles (and their lineage constituting the Catholic church today) are given the outline of confession.
John 20:19-23 ... Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
