In this video we will talk about one of my favorite little baits for crappie. We will catch a few fish on a cold winter day along the way. Thanks for watching!
Watching your video right off the bat you said something that I agree with.. this past 6 months or more has been incredibly windy… it’s been tough fishing this spring.
HI BRANDON, I REALLY ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS. I MOVED FROM ESTILL SPRINGS TO ILLINOIS ABOUT 7 MONTHS AGO. SURE DO MISS TENNESSEE! WISH I COULD SHOW YOU PICS OF A "WHITE-NOSE CRAPPIE" I CAUGHT AT WOODS A FEW YEARS AGO. TIGHT LINES AND PLEASE KEEP THOSE VIDS COMING.
Im 49 ive been crappie fishing neely henry all my about 5 years ago i caught a black nose on neely i didnt know what its was i thought something was wrong with it😆 only one ive ever caught in there and i cappie fish alot and nobody else i know has caught one there ....whats crazy 50 mikes up stream to weiss theres alot in weiss lake ..good vid man 👍
If I remember correctly.. the first black nose crappie I ever heard of, Jimmy Holt and Glen smith we’re catching a few on the Tennessee Outdoorsman back in the 80’s..
Great video! Just watched a show of you and Zona bass fishing Dale Hollow in winter probably a year or so ago! Dale Hollow has a lot of good crappie too! Of course I struggle to catch them but would love to see a video of you fishing here for them. I know you would get them and some good ones! Wish you and your family a good year in 2024!
I’ve caught a lot of black noses in Texas….what a beautiful lake, it really made the video….great channel, I subscribed…looking forward to more great content!
Hope you had a Merry Christmas Brandon, but we need some more videos lol. I have a quick question for you? When I put a split shot on above my 1/64 th jighead it seems to be out running the jighead and rapping around the hook. How can I fix this problem ( smaller split shot?)
Hey Brandon. I am a big big fan of yours. I live very close to your sponsor. So have you ever tried crappie magnet fin spin and pro fin spin pro under spins. I’d like to see how they work casting. All I’ve seen them being used for is long lining. Thanks keep up the good videos
They are both great baits but the crappie where I live are too picky for them. I fish a lot of clear water and schools of educated crappie. More times than not the fin spin is too much action for them. Thanks for watching
Over a 191 likes in 4 hrs is a testament to how good your videos are. I always watch for your videos 😊keep them coming and keep up the good content. A friend of mine caught a black nose on the Mississippi River near Sabula IA.

Nice video enjoyed it crappie Dave out 👍🏾
I have power coated my heads in Chrome for years. Best head color I have found. I fish Pickwick/Yellow creek in West Tn.
Chrome or nickel is deadly for sure. A lot of people overlook it. Thanks for watching
@@BrandonLesterFishing Killer on Sauger and Walleye also. Thanks for posting these videos.
It’s been 11 days Brandon! I know it’s Christmas but we need a gift from you…..a video! 😂 Hope you and your family have a merry Christmas 🎄
You caught another one! I bought a Mustad Detector rod, during Black Friday sale and love it. I should have bought 2.
They are great rods! Thanks for watching
What length did u order ?
Brandon sure does his part on keep the crappie population balanced 😂 keep videos coming thanks
I throw back a whole lot more than I keep, but they ain’t gonna catch themselves.😂 Thanks for watching!

Thanks Brandon! That was Fun 😊👍👍. What’s water temp?
Water temp was 55. Thanks for watching
Do you just swim your lure over the top of the brush pile?

What kind of rod is that? Amazing videos btw
Mustad Detector 6’6” light.
Could you make a video showing how to find crappie without using forward facing sonar?
Do you take people on guides fishing trips in what part of Tennessee are you in nearest town
Where do black nose crappies come from ? Good video winter crappie rule !!
All I know is they are some form of a hybrid. Not sure where they originated. Thanks for watching!
Great video why do you use a split shot above your jig those are some nice Black nose never seen any here in Virginia
To help get the bait down quicker. Thanks for watching!
That’s a big split shot 1/4 OZ?
@@bobmchugh8790 split shots go by size and not weight. It’s a size 5. I would guess around 1/8th ounce.

You ever fish east TN?
Brandon what length spinning rod for bass fishing
6’10” is my favorite
You should take john dalton crappie fishing
How fast does yout trout magnet fall with that #5 splitshot?
2ft per second roughly. Thanks for watching!
Thanks I just purchased some Trout magnets and a looking forward to trying them out. It makes sense to me to downsize your bait when they get finicky.
I see you are fishing braid, what knot do you use for it 😊
Double uni
I am talking about when you tie a jig on your line.
@@dannylang7971 sorry I misunderstood. I tie a loop knot to the jighead
Thanks for replying to my post, sorry I didn’t put it to where you could understand.
Dude what’s going on we miss you ET phone home
How are you rigged?
Watch till the end and you’ll see. Thanks for watching!
Why not just spool up with Floro?
Much better feel with braid, plus braid casts better and is a lot more manageable. Thanks for watching
