I bought this welder the day it came out here in AU... definitely worth the money, best mig out there on single phase.
As above for the gasless flux core you need to swap your polarity buddy
Kempi best mig welders hands down
I’ve got the old version without the pulse had it 7 years now still going strong daily won’t go wrong with kemppi
Nice toy mate! Congrats! Last week I bought Kemppi FitWeld 300 for myself and very satisfied with it.
Great video bud, I've been looking at those myself.
Use negative wire for gasless fluxcore, takes all the spatter away, another good point on the kempii easy to swap your polarity over.
Great job Cal. Cool to see these videos from your house/side jobs
Thank you for making a review of the Kemppi it looks like the ducks guts of a welder, the alloy welds sure are sweet looking. I have a Tempi EVO200 and it is fantastic, and I am just a retired motor mechanic and not a welder by trade. I bought a Kemppi on the advice of professional welders I know when I was in the market for a new MIG.
You cannot go wrong with a kemppi welder. Both my welders are kemppi,s up there with the best of them for sure😁
Fluxcore is,often used in quarrys where your outside where the wind blows your gas away has the same outdoor ability as arc but being able to continually weld
I have the miller mpi 220p its also a single phase kinda multiprocess(its doesn't like 6010 but it works)
i like the 5 kilo cuz o weld steel and alu. its easy to replace and never get rusty always close in the machine and not to havey to carry.
Great video. For flux core you need to change the polarity inside the machine.
I run a KEMPPI 420 fast mig water cooled 👌 never ran a small one
You working for yourself now bro normally your always in the workshop at work???? Love you're channel bye the way same age as you and love welding all day baby!!!
Owned 2 Minarcmigs so far - both epic. Eyewatering, but epic. I presume this is just more epic.
Fluxcore propably had wrong polarity.
Yeah the positive & negative needed swapping 👍🏻
Yep, I can believe a 1-Φ MIG/MAG welder that does pulse. I have/had 4 different models 😀. Here in the USA we have quite a few. Stel from Italy produces them for an American welding company called HTP America/USA Weld, who sells the very finest pulse MIG/SMAW/TIG machines. First one was a 200A model (Pro Pulse 200), then a 300A multi-process model (Pro Pulse 300), then another 200A multi-process model (Pro Pulse 220MTS), and now there is one called the Revolution 2500. It is a dual-voltage 1-Φ machine (120V/240V) that has pulse MIG, double pulse MIG, Pulse DC TIG and Pulse AC TIG, and pulse DC stick/SMAW! Pulse is where it's at!
fkn epic review also great to see the real world applications and the swiss air in full flight
i did hear a rumor that Fronius were doing a pulse version of the trans steel ,, mind you the new EWM is a thing of beauty.
i think the reason fronius hasnt put pulse on the smaller machines is cost. people already dont want to pay that much. but then add pulse and increase the price 2x. ya even less people will buy them. most people want cheap crap for pennies
@@casey3235 yep that sums it up well
The Fronius is very energy efficient so you can get very good amp of output of domestic use same as the Kemppi 200 evo . It’s a canon for the size and will do 185amp on 13 amp 230v supply.
@@JC-un4bg thats not to be sneezed at ,,, and they dont come up second hand very often , again it speaks volumes.
Great video and cool review cool to see you back on youtube 👍👍
Using a 5 meter torch with a 0.8mm wire is on the limit. I think you are used to 1mm or 1.2mm on your day job. Then it isn't a problem. Using aluminum wire you should get a 3meter torch. You only have 2wheel feeder this can cause feeding problems.
Not with this machine, you won’t have any issues
well done i hope if i could learn from you
Can it handle occasionally welding 10 mm aluminum plates? We mostly do 1-8mm, sometime 10
15:00 holy shit! I never see mig welder can do that ! even tig welder is not easy to do that
hello a question would you have the opportunity to do a complete test of the multi-process device esab rebel emp 205ic ac / dc and give us your opinion by putting a score from 0 to 10 for each process thank you and for your exélent videos😁
Question The Cost in USD? Do you run United States Miller or Lincoln machines? Doesn't England have their brand of welders?
Hello
I know this machine is single phase, but do you think you like more the fronius TPS i series (Like the TPSi270) or more the Kemppi Master Mig?
Thanks!
I see you are useing optrel swiss air PAPR System, Is it good? optrel swiss air is half-mask. compare 3m adflo full face, which one is batter?Maybe you can do a review on youtube?
They are for two different jobs bud the 3m offers more protection, the optrel is only a respirator but i don't weld without it, is a great bit of kit
Adflo is better . As fume will
Harm eyes to over time . I bet the optrel isn’t compatible with different safety glasses, Eva
Great review
Have you had to use it on domestic 13 amp power yet . Would be interested what’s the max you can squeeze out of of a 13 amp
Plug for When you doing job, so that’s all that’s available . I’ve got the 200 and minimig eco 200 , and I can squeeze 180 amps out of it on 13 amps . I think the play in your Wire is your liner if you’re using .8 in a 1.2 you will get slop
I've been using a Kemppi Mastertig 230 for around 12 years here in Australia on mostly 10amp power and can't recall when it ever tripped a circuit. I do though rarely go over 140amps, but it's not the best practise.
Kemppi put PFC circuits in their single phase equipment which means you can get much more through a 13amp plug. 180 amps sounds about right.
Hi, Calvin!
I want to ask You, wich welding machine would be Your choice between "Fronius Transsteel 2200" or "Kemppi Master M 205"?
And I also want to ask You If this machine (kemppi Master M 205) has some issues already or it's everything ok?
I find with the kemppi the wheel that drives the wire occasionally pops off, i was told that the earth resistance needs to be done because it works as a burn back protector on the wire to stop the wire sticking to the tip and inturn the feed rollers are under too much pressure popping the cip off essentially loosing all wire feed, but that only happens when the machine is on the floor and im welding at heights, but like i said a earth resistance calibration should stop that, as for which id choose is tough, id probably go kemppi for the pulse feature, its a much better welding process
@@ARCONEWELDING
I understand.
I never had a chance to use this kemppi machine, I don't know how good that works in mig manual mode or mig synergic mode. The Fronius Transsteel 2200 is amazing, mig manual and mig synergic mode works incredible but the difference is that fronius have no pulse...
I was thinking to buy this kemppi machine but I need a review before.
Thank You very much for answer!
Hi, do you use gas 92/8 argon/co2 for overhead with pulse function or c25 gas?
I use m24 gas mixture from boc 12%co2 mix
welder is good, but not available in USA yet 😥😥
@@hvacqualityassurance7116if you wanted to save money you wouldn't be looking at quality gear 🤷 but the millermatic compared to this is trash. I used a miller, and just brought a kemppi 205
👍👍👍
Good 👍👍👍
Hello friend how are you?
So here is a normal sine wave - draws a square wave 😂😂😂
Ow! The price!? I thought my Kemppi Mastertig was expensive.
From £3-4k bud, definitely expensive
Compact/small/tight space stuff is great if you have child size hands. After seeing this, I wouldn't want that welder. Too compact/small so fiddly and probably frustrating after a while and not very robust looking. A lot of plastic. I bet I can guess where it is made too.
The torch length at 5metres is too long to run 0.6mm wire for cars/thin sheet. It will birds nest I reckon very easily on 0.6mm and possibly on 0.8mm wire too? The length of torch lead probably explains why the wire appears to push back into the torch. The wire is flexing in the liner because it is held by the feed rollers and loose at the end you are pushing on.
I used to have an Oerlikon 300amp single phase mig welder, it was made in 1994 and it had pulse on it. The welder was a full size and not something you could lift easily. I sold it on four years ago and it's still working for the new owner to this day.
Then go ahead.... Take a guess at where it's made....
@@kristianskov4841 Hmmmm I will pop into my nearest oriental restaurant and ask them what type of ceramic plates they use. I have a feeling it's the same name and spelling? 😜
@@sackvilleweldingservices
Kemppi welders are made in Finland...
Great machines, been using them for years.
for flux-core welding you have to change polarity that is why the weld looks like splattered shit.
Howʼs your job?
