    Have you written a book or would you consider writing a book? I see details of your technique that I haven’t seen before.

      Thanks for your comment. I went to Japan to learn how they work and haven't wrote a book. But you caan find some answears in "The complete japanese carpentry" book ;)

    What a good made video! So encouraging to see japanese woodworking skills in switzerland. I^m an apprentice for carpenter in suisse and there is not too much knowledge about this around.

    Great and precise job! But, I don't know purpose of that joint?! Just need to take longer wood!

      This joint is made for buildings.
      Big trees are usually used for temples and smaller pieces which are also a lot less expensive for houses ;)

      @@matthiasobrecht1932 Thank you for explaining and also for video! I understand is more cheap smoler and shorter pieces of wood, but that work is very hard and looks like the art! Unbelievable massive job for making hous! In any case, you have one mor subscriber!
