If you ever use peel and stick wallpaper again, the trick when taking it down is to use heat. So when you peel it off, use a hairdryer as you're doing it. But congrats on the house! Smaller spaces are so much more cozy, in my opinion :)
I get it on the stairs. My old house had bedrooms upstairs and it was annoying to go up and down stairs all the time. My house now is a bi-level. But it's a little better having living room and kitchen on the same level as bedrooms.

Couple pro cleaning tips as you asked, use a steamer for mopping floors not a mop or swifter it cost like $80 but it’s amazing and you’ll have it forever! Also when I use to rent they made us do this shit too…I may or may not have created a lovely printed receipt on my Mac “showing I paid blank company” and blank company was me, myself and I bc I cleaned it! 😂
Ahh this came at a perfect time! I'm moving with my fiancé (soon to be husband!) and am in the process of patching, painting, and packing one room at a time. It's daunting but your presence doing the same thing is gonna make it so much better! Congrats on the new house!

Hey! I’ve taken a test in cleaning so here are some tips: make sure to start above/at the top of the room and work your way down. So start with the top of the furniture, work down and end on the floor. Vacuum and mop last. Make sure to have a wet rag with a bucket of soapy water AND dry rag when wiping dust off furniture. First wet then dry. When you’ve done the big stuff, pay attention to the little stuff (light switches, wall panels, top of lights, knobs). Run your fingers along all surfaces to see if there is dust. Good luck, hope you get your deposit back! 💕🙏

Congrats on your new house! It looks really cute. Super envious of that big, spacious backyard! The one thing I'd recommend for cleaning ( in the future, as it'll probably be too late by the time you see it ) is a personal steame cleaner with different attachments. I have one and it is SO nice. I take it out to deep clean my kitchen & bathroom, and the mop attachment is great for deep cleaning my floors It's worth the investment, imo. Just make sure you read the manual to make sure it's safe to use on whatever you're cleaning. The Pink Stuff + Spongedaddy sponges are also great for deep cleaning too. Some people prefer the Spongedaddy cleaner, but I just use what I have on hand. Simple Green is also a great cleaner too. Getting a bottle of the concentrated stuff will last you forever. Plus the smell isn't that bad either. I also have a good pair of knee pads for whenever I'm cleaning and have to be on my knees. They're amazing and keep my poor knees from bruising and aching. Swifters are nice, but they're really only meant for light spot cleaning.
I love watching people moving houses, but I understand how stressful it can be. You actually motivated me to clean my flat and sell some stuff I don't need. Wish you luck with restoring that wall, and hope they won't charge you with extra money for cleaning because this is ridiculous for them to demand such things.

Also, I clean new construction houses, so I have to do some different things then you would with a lived in house, like cleaning paint or grout out of bath tubs or baseboards etc but the advice I can offer you is if you have anything stuck to walls or baseboards like maybe glue residue or something like that, I would recommend using goo gone that stuff is magic! And for floors if you can want a really good mop I would recommend the Ocedar spin I think it’s $30, but it makes cleaning walls and floors so much easier, but obviously that’s a good chunk of money for a mop so a cheap alternative that it also good floors is the Ocedar micro twist mop is $14 I think, or the libman twist mop is good too but it would clean your floors good! The Ocedar spin mop is just my favorite. Just offering some options because I’ve had trouble with those sponge mops in the past, they honestly suck lol but you can make them work in a pinch. As far as floor solutions I love the fabuloso you bought and also Mr clean is great too, and pinesol is another favorite it’s good at keeping bugs away. Another way is sometime I will use fabuloso with a dash of white vinegar and that works great! Also White vinegar is really good for showers with tile as well. Also for your cabinets if you’re having trouble with grease maybe try using some dawn and hot water if you haven’t already. Hope this helps!
I just moved myself from a shitty ghetto apartment to a condo in a super nice area. I feel so much more safe, we had just the sketchiest people walking around all the time and homeless were all over, the house was maintained well, renovated PROPERLY, and it’s privately owned vs. property managed. It is more but it’s 1 more bedroom and in a rich area. I feel the stress though, we moved like 40 minutes away and both me and partner work full time and I was commuting an hour to work (which is why we moved). Excited to make this place our own.

Try tide the loose powder kind for anything it’s amazing with some warm water. Works amazing on anything I have ever had to clean/ deep clean. My mom dad taught we her that and it’s a staple trick for me. ☺️🥰 love the vlog hope your move all goes well☺️🥰
Maybe after cleaning yourself you can ask a professional to just do like $100 worth of cleaning so you have the receipt. It cost me $300 for a move out cleaning for a studio apartment. It was filthy when I moved in too.
I agree that it’s weird they are telling you to get professional cleaners and to show proof basically it sounds like a scam and that it sounds illegal I hope you figure more out about why they are doing that
Moving is stressful enough without all that crap they expect you to do! They’re just being lazy to get the apt ready for the next tenants and expect you to do it so they can just get their money and move them right in. 🤔🧐
Just a warning, do not use that degreaser on anything painted! It strips the paint off. I found that out the hard way, not sure what I was thinking when I used it 😩. Also, if your floors are made of real wood, be careful not to use too much water and make sure you dry them immediately so it doesn’t cause water damage. If they’re vinyl or laminate then you should be fine c: I also recommend power paste by scrub daddy if you have any hard stains that won’t come off. Hope that you are able to get your deposit back, landlords can be so greedy! Can’t wait to see how you decorate your new house 😊
Yes, the orange degreaser! It’s great for kitchens and bathrooms but do not use it on anything that’s been painted. I made that mistake once because it was the only cleaner I had at the time lol

There is a law in most states about "normal wear and tear" and they shouldn't be able to charge you for that. The problem is that cities and states allow this crap. They're trying to force you into giving up your deposit. The management company should be able to tell you what brand and color of paint they use.

I think the main issue too is that the paint in the house has a matte finish so it reacted poorly to adhesive. The command strips did the same thing

Steam mops work perfectly and no chemicals if you are allergic to anything.

Im sure you already cleaned but don't use brillo pads on stainless steel theyll scratch it. I use Lysol disinfectant spray.
