Fascinating idea, reprinting Marvel Comics chronologically . I enjoy your freewheeling free association thoughts about the characters and stories. Was LOLing when you talked about a truck transporting nuclear material and they didn't test the brakes to make sure they worked. It's fascinating they managed to put out so much and Stan Lee writing so much, using his method. That method was the best thing that ever happened to comics - letting the artist interpret how to visually tell stories. Think how different Comics history would have been without it - there might not have been even been much after the 70's
Certainly very different from the DC approach with plotting the tales. I guess, it did lend itself to some odd situations where the writer / artist gets a little out of sync with the story as well as what happened before and for future issues. Definitely a more visual approach. I have thoroughly enjoyed the chronological approach, can't see them producing any more though but who knows ? After 1964, it was a little more of just subtle changes and additions until the 70s when they had a lot more titles per month to play with and the Marvel Universe expanded Yes, the truck should have been checked ... !
Yes, I would love to see a Westerns omnibus from Marvel or at least a few epic collections of the western characters such as Ringo Kid, Two Gun Kid etc
@AndrewBuckleBookReviews For your sake, I hope so, too ! I love how much you appreciate them, and how much these Marvel's Golden Age of this comics, Superheroes means to you. Oh, and I received an e-mail stating my 1964 copy will be ready for me to pick up in a day or two ! So, this week already 😊
Yes, definitely enjoy the 60s comics, that was the period I grew up with the comics and they will always be special to me. Same with the 70s. Still like many modern comics as well. Hope you enjoy the omni, it is a quality book

I like the concept of grouping the comics by year, it's interesting to see them in their relative context.
Yes, I have enjoyed the approach. It is a pity they don't include more essays giving a little background to the time as well.
I live the time capsule concept and getting some Westerns
