i just did it. passenger side worked exactly the same, drivers side had 1 more plug but u can slide the mirror through, thank you this worked exactly as shown, thumbs up!

The mirror glass have usually 2 wires for the heating system, and another one for the blind spot. Yes you can simply unplug them.

When a ELD is nor working you need to change it, is nothing to do about it

remove the glass is useless. You can remove the cover and let the mirror in place 😉
Do not remove the mirror just make it flat in the housing and remove the housing dont make an easy job hard
terrile design. it can be stolen so easy
