Someone said it’s possible to unlock higher velocity around 32mph entering the 2020 code ( I have no idea how they typed it) maybe this trick works for Mosquito? Did you try? As I wrote in another review, the cheaper VMAX VX2 PRO looks cool, seems more safer and enjoyable to drive, still fast with 24mph, but a bit heavier ( 20kg against 13kg from Mosquito) if you had to choose, which one you would pick for you? :)

Nice review of a fantastic commuter scooter. For those trying to decide between the Fluid Mosquito, e-TWOW GT Sport, and Uscooters GT Sport: All three are made by e-TWOW. The e-TWOW GT Sport and Uscooters GT Sport are identical, just different branding. The Mosquito has a 9.6Ah battery with generic cells. The GT Sport has a 10.5Ah battery with Samsung cells, which provides greater range. Top speeds of the Mosquito and GT Sport are about the same. These scooters have the best speed-to-weight ratio in the business. e-TWOW claims that they’ve made some improvements to the GT Sport for 2024 which includes improvements to structural strength and improvements to electronics reliability.

Love your reviews, just remember, us guys over 6'2 are always holding our breathe hoping you'll cover stem height because this is almost always brushed over by most reviews. The Emove touring has the perfect stem height but i don't only want to be stuck with one scooter. The touring is not ultra portable, has stem wobble, bad stem alignment issues and the screws loosen way too often.

I have the e-twow gt sport and I used the unlocking code on the computer and it goes 33mph now. 27 mph for a 250lbs rider. I like using L4 when going long distance, what I've labeled "eco mode" where top speed is limited 22mph. According to the odometer I've put 650 miles on it and no problems. I've done no maintenance. I wouldn't ride it when its raining either but I live in Socal so I haven't had to. I just avoid puddles and keep it slow on asphalt if it's wet. When it's dry the tires are fantastic A++. Little to no tire wear yet and not having to worry about a flat tire when I'm routinely 30+ miles from home is a must. Fits perfectly under bus seats.

0:08 I think when anyone is trying to compare to the ninebot max, they should use the G30, not the G30LP. G30 is still over 12 miles more range than this. Portable or not, that varies from person to person. To some people the ninebot max is still portable. The max is still the brenchmark of scooters under $1000 and hard to find a true replacement for that. The way that this channel mention it in almost every video is a good example.
-Not a fan of any scooters that fold up the entire front stem, in which case the under deck is hitting the ground when you put it on the floor, which could damage the under deck in the long run, even though this form is slightly more portable.
-Personally wouldn't consider any scooter with tires that are smaller than 9". 8" is just way too small for an adult scooter. 28mph on those 8" solids are just no good.
-IMO rear wheel drive (ninebot max) is better than front wheel drive (this scooter).
-No seat option, which is not available in 90% of scooters anyway, except max has that option.
    -Worse braking than the max.
-Ninebot max has tons of aftermarket parts and mods and custom firmwares (probably more than any other scooter, not just its class) that opens up a whole new world.
The last 3 or 4 points are the pros of the max against almost most scooters in its class. G30 wins for me, once again. The only thing that could be better than the max is if it has suspensions, slightly faster speed, less exposed wires, higher charge port, and solid tire option.

      You make some great points!
When it makes sense, we like to use the G30 as the benchmark, but since we gave the G30 such a hard time for not being portable in early reviews, it felt more appropriate to use the G30LP for most of the comparisons here. Performance-wise the G30 and G30LP are almost identical, but you're right, the G30 has much better range. -Paul

    • @carbrickscity
      @carbrickscity 2 года назад

Almost universally agreed that G30 is better than the G30LP. Since they are 2 separate models and not an actual successor of one another, G30 is the actual max whenever people mention the max. Don't really think they make a big difference in terms of portability. Might as well just use the G30 as the comparison. Having over twice the range (as tested) and build-in power brick with fast charging is a big deal. Not to mention some people actually prefer the bigger deck of the G30. All the aftermarket parts, mods, and firmware also favor the G30 over the G30LP.

Also not to mention that my personal experience with the unreliability of Fluid scooters is abysmal! Have purchased two diff (Horizon) Fluid scooters neither of which lasted more than 14 months before something expensive (batt, unknown problem??) giving out. Never again Fluid.

    • @carbrickscity
      @carbrickscity 2 года назад

14 months doesn't sound too bad unless it's an expensive one. I heard some scooters don't even last a year or even several months from some brands. But also depends on how the owner treat them. They are mostly abused.

    You said it . . . "Utility"!
    Nice machine.
A real plus for carrying around or getting in and out of storage places.
    Just about 30 lbs. right?
    More than enough speed.
The suspension will help with the solid tires but then again ride accordingly. Nice not having to worry about flat tires but I do prefer pneumatic 10 inch tubed or tubeless tires.
I think this will be a new "go to'" for many riders in urban settings or who like something to get in and out of a car easily for "get away" weekends.

Can’t wait for your TOP TEN COMMUTER SCOOTERS. I loved esg’s electronics show in las vegas, wish there was a similar thing here in ny. There’s a very large market in brownstone brooklyn (like many urban communities) where walkups, lack of parking, mass transit sardine packed riding, long bus wait times, and street traffic all make scooters the perfect urban commuting solution. Paul, i’m hoping your portable performance roundup includes a scooter comparison from all of the top manufacturers, maybe that’s not realistic (kaabo, dualtron, apollo, etc). Not looking to race, just a comfortable commuter that attempts at reaching the impossible 3’s: 30 mile range, 30 mph, 30 lbs (dreaming), less than $3000, and could ride for 30 minutes without being jarred to death. Now, how close can they get to this?

Sure it’s great and interesting if you don’t own an etwow like me (sport/s+). These etwow/fluid scooters would really benefit from having some sort of honeycomb or dual density type tyre to improve ride and grip (like the ninebot e22/e45) and still think indicators in some form should be standard. To make it lighter.
I think the bulge on the stem in front is the motor controller, it gets plenty of airflow so not much cooling needed, unlike traditional. That also gives more room in the deck so they can shrink the deck, stretching the battery out to make it thinner, less wide. That reduces the amount of heavy metal casing for the deck. It also reduces the amount of wiring saving a little weight and cost. As the wiring now only goes from the closer battery to the bulge that has the controller to the close motor, then they only have to run a thin wire to the display and the back brake light. The thin wire with low wattage means they run it right up against the battery instead of creating a thick metal channel to run the wiring down.
All ideas for the weight saving came from taking my scooter (Apollo Explore) apart a few times.

@@brianjensen2532 Hey Brian,. What did I do to make my ninebot faster. 3 things really. #1 I inflated the tires up to were there supposed to be. If your like me, I'm 208lbs. I'm pushing close to the I'm too damn fat for this threshold. So inflated my tires in-between the recommended air pressure and the max.
#2. Make sure you have your ninebot set to the S mode. If you press the power button to turn it on, press it down, let up and quickly press it again. You will notice that there are letters appearing on the screen. D is for pittle putting around, I forgot what the next won was, that's how important that is. Anyway, press it until you see the S lit up. It stands for Speed. It puts your ninebot in the fastest mode it can. Which brings me to....
#3. Go online or download the app to your phone and upgrade the firmware. It's a must ! It's like taking out the v6 in your car and putting in a v8 with a blower on it. Extreamly nessessary. Segway put restrictions on the scooter for safety reasons. I said to hell with that, I want to haul ass.
Oh and obviously make sure your battery is fully charged. My battery in mine kicks ass, so I'm sure you have the same one as I do. I can go 5 miles to somewhere and turn around and go back 5 miles for a round trip if 10 miles and still have 2 to 3 bars if battery left. Oh and that's going at a speed of 28 to 30 mph mostly. Sure there are times you have to go slower and stop and all that shit, but the batteries in these ninebots straight from the factory are pretty good. I'm impressed. Sure I will eventually upgrade the batteries so my scooter time will be even better but for now I'm content. If I need to go farther, I'll just take my Corvette. Hope this helps you a little bit. Let me know how it went or not. Good luck and ride scooter fast you will, enjoy you must ! Yoda

Sometimes it's the scooter being reviewed, or a comparison scooter, or even a piece of gear that's worn in the video and not mentioned. Ultimately the test results are the test results and my job is to tell that story, while also giving some history about the brand and context of where that particular scooter fits in the market. -Paul

It's really handy for filming future comparisons, or on occasion re-testing something if we feel like we missed a P-setting somehwhere. I bought a front wheel drive scooter, sold it 5 days later, try as I might, could not work out how to enjoy it. More than happy to save all and every front wheel drive scooter for other people. Does anybody here actually enjoy riding FWD?

It’s actually quite common with lightweight scooters here in the US

      Hi William,
I prefer RWD myself, but have always felt like only 1% of riders had a preference, or could feel the difference. So, it's interesting how many folks have commented on the FWD of this scooter. Maybe it's because this is the fastest FWD scooter.
I think the reason I notice FWD less on this scooter is that it's not great for cornering to begin with, because of the narrow hard tires. So I'm not carving it up like I do on a scooter with air-filled tires.
Thanks for your comment. I always learn a lot from our audience after each video. -Paul

Your code for an extra 12 month warranty isn't working

You must first add the 12 month warranty option to the cart along with the scooter! Then put promo code ESGMOSQUITO24 in and the $99 should deduct from the cart. Thank You! -Vosk

You have to add the warranty first to the cart then apply the code at checkout!

Now that has awesome top speed and range for how light it is. This is literally a scooter that can take the world over in transportation.

Butttttt $899 price point it’s NOT a double thumbs up. There are foldable ebikes for that price point that do the same when unlocked.
