I would take my mom's car when I was 9 to the store and McDonalds " early 80s " She was always drunk or on drugs. If she wasn't passed out, she was at the bar. One night when I was 10 we didn't have any food for dinner and she was gone for 3 days, so I drove her car to McDonalds to get my sisters and brothers food. the local store was closed. On our way back the police stopped us. He followed us home and told me not to drive anymore. Of course, I didn't listen and kept driving to the store a few miles away. I never got pulled over again, I kept to the back streets and stayed off the main roads lol. The car was a gremlin :P

I actually read the comments section and it looks like you all are embracing the fact that he has blonde hair and blue eyes and he was just trying to get to school. Meanwhile I see an out of control child who took it upon himself to get behind the wheel of a real car! Not a toy, on a real street alongside other motorists. But you all don't see anything wrong with this picture 😒? I wouldn't want any nine year old driving anywhere near my car! This is exactly why he did, because he could and he knew that it would considered cute. What if he had hurt someone in the process 🤔? Would you all be lying then, talking about well at least he wants his education? Parents, get Cho kids! Get them under control before the world does! This isn't cute nor is it funny! If my child had done that he's a$$ would surely get whipped and he would be afraid to look at my car keys ever again 😤! All mine are adults now, but they would have never tried that! There is a flaw in that parental situation!

It's quite negligent of the mother to leave the keys accessible to her child. Thank goodness this story wasn't with a tragic end.

How about the stove? Or the knives drawer? Or how about the electrical outlet? Would you like her to put the car keys under lock and key and then lock and keys to the lock and key in another lock and key? I don’t think parents should be required to hiding keys to the car just because they went to take a dump.

Clearly this kid values his education. Furthermore, his problem solving skills demonstrate both creativity and initiative. So what's the problem?

An Car to school? Outrageous this child is less than 10, he must have took his driving lesson at 9

9 is old enough to know better. Something is being left out of this story. 🤷‍♀️ Mom was in the bathroom 🫤 and the kid doesn’t say he’s ready to go but goes to steal the car? 🙄

What would’ve happened if he pulled out in front of someone got himself or another family behind the wheel killed? How would the insurance settle that claim? No! This kid needs to have some type of written apology and written assignment as a punishment.. of why it’s wrong to steal your parents car and what the consequences could’ve been
