Well done Nigeria. Please support your brother and his brand. So far I'm counting atleast 7 Black owned African car manufacturers between Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda and Zimbabwe. Forget European Japanese, Korean or Chinese brands. We must elevate made in Africa! 1 love from Zimbabwe.

It is OEM-supplied, if it was fully engineered, the company would have closed down already, due to overheads. When more people patronise his products, then he'll be able to setup an r&d department, where he can engineer his own vehicles. But for now, his approach is the best for the market.
If Innoson wants to increase sales. He should open account abroad for diasporans to patronise him through morgage system. No one buys brand new car abroad and pays cash. I will buy his electric car if i can pay him 200dollars monthly, with 2k or 3k dollars initial deposit.

More state governments need to patronise this man. In government should make it a law that at least 50% of government vehicles are produced locally and then increase it yearly until it reaches 100%.
If you listen to the man maybe u will understand.....................the man car make or assemble every component of a car except the Engine. Also gave reason why, he also highlighted that if he can reach a certain target he will localize it , basically completing the manufacturing chain of a vehicle. He is an honest business man who who gave a certain quota if he is to make an engine , the reason and how he can local it.
The key for Nigeria is to focus on assembly of EV. Innosion need to sign partnership with Chinese firms to supply all the parts and have them assemble in Nigeria. In that way, Nigerians firms and engineers will quickly gain skills.
If this guy was a citizen of and based in a country like Tanzania 🇹🇿, Ethiopia 🇪🇹, South Africa 🇿🇦, Egypt 🇪🇬, Algeria 🇩🇿, Angola 🇦🇴 or SAHEL ALLIANCE, he and his company would not have been facing all this sabotage from neocolonial slaves !!!
Her questions are not targeted to produce the correct answers from Mr Innoson. Hardly any manufacturers of vehicles anywhere in the world produce all the components of that car from local sources. Not German cars, American carsetc. These components are outsourced and bid for by manufacturers of the desired components anywhere in the world. The idea that everything be manufactured in Nigeria is a pipe dream because Nigeria has no competent small industries to manufacture those small components that go into assemblage of an automobile. 10, 000 vehicles is the milestone he needs to make manufacturing of engines locally a viable process. Now if the governments of our country both Federal and state, think locally, this milestone will be a piece of cake. Instead they outsource their purchases to Toyotas and other Asian manufacturers, thereby depriving local industries from growth. Our stupidity is beyond comprehension, but I know why. It's all about the inherent greed in the system: 10% of anything in Dollars is better than no percentage of something in Naira! Capiche?
