Very good information. A lot of this can be also applied to beginning adult choirs that have had little or no musical training . When they start out they have to learn how to follow a conductor and a score, how to listen and blend, and how to shape their sounds. All this must be explained and worked with in a simpler way than when one directs more experienced singers.

Thank you! Very much. It's very useful to know all this things. I'm gonna start an informal choir in elementary school here in Mexico in each grade for christmas festival, and hope everything's gonna be fine.

Oh, I am sure you will be great - if you are here on the channel searching for instructions, you are already on a great path because it shows you understand the choir director's position is not easy and you acknowledge it. And working with kids in music is just great. Best of luck! :)
