I don’t go to a University in America, but rather, in a Catholic University because our country is heavily influenced by Christianity and most of the top Universities are Catholic. It was my first time fasting without the pandemic and so I was quite nervous because I have to face the heat and more temptations, but I was glad that most of my classmates and schoolmates were very understanding of our religion and so, they try to avoid eating in front of us and our university even held iftar for the whole month of ramadan including the Grand Iftar! MashaAllah. The grand iftar was like a buffet, wallah! It was one of my best experiences during ramadan. Alhamdulillah, even though I live in a country with more population of Christians and a Catholic school, I still get to live in peace and do my duties as a muslim with ease. Shout out to Ateneo de Zamboanga University for making our lives much easier as muslim students.💖 Keep up the amazing work!
My go-to Sahoor meal is yogurt and granola and then a giant bowl of fruit and fibre and cheerios. I think it's the punjabi in me but my dairy consumption in Ramadan is mad 😂
Hahaha I saw other videos of RUclipsrs who were fasting and they ate this small little breakfast and reasonable dinner. Then I see you shoveling waffles in and chugging water before 5 am, and I was like yup this would definitely be me😂😂😂 that's a whole ass day of not eating, I don't know how some people don't feast before and after!
So for me I usually just have one thing be it a yogurt or a bowl of cereal for breakfast bc I’m so SLEEPY and then for dinner as soon as I eat a little I get so full so I end up not feasting too much (and if I do I get sick) 😂
I go to a less popular university in Texas that also has halal options. There’s definitely a good amount of universities in the U.S. that have halal options in my opinion.
I don’t understand why everyone thinks it’s such a long time to go without food. I don’t eat breakfast, so it ends up being at least 17-18 hours by the time I break my fast every day. It’s fairly common.
I feel weak and shaky if I don’t eat for a few hours. If I’m resting and at home it’s different. But if I’m running around at work I am constantly starving.
I had to go without food or water for 1 single day because I had surgery but they didn't know when they could fit me in the schedule (ended up being late) and wow I have so much respect for how hard it is to go without water especially, even more as you're going about your day, I was just in a waiting room for hours. does it get easier, I wonder?
that’s more than the food i eat on a regular basis😭 i skip breakfast and dinner and have 1 meal in the afternoon and fruits in the evening and i dont even feel hungry
@@ahmadnabihah hoping so too…ed sucks..it started off with trying to lose weight and now i dont even have the will to eat…sight of a plate full of food makes me lose my appetite even more so i have very lil portions
@@shka2961 no I don’t comment this on every comment. you are clearly attempting to brag about how little you eat and still “don’t feel hungry”. no one asked you to share about your ed and frankly its triggering to people (like me) who are trying to get better.
don’t chug so much water so quick!! spread out your sips. chugging so much so quick is a fast track to overhydration and hypernatremia. please don’t do this!!
Ok not trying to be mean but can some explain to me what is fasting and what is Ramadan. Like what do you do. The only thing I know is that it’s part of a religion but that’s all. Btw not trying to be mean
We can’t fast for thirty days straight without water let alone food. We fast from sunrise to sunset , which in my country is usually around 18 hours and we don’t drink water while fasting. She showed what she eats after she breaks her fast at night
Thank you for your concern about the halal status of the meat. As I mentioned earlier in the comments, both the lamb and chicken consumed in this video were indeed halal. It's always helpful to double-check the information provided before commenting to avoid saying something redundant. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.
I'm impressed American universities are stepping up their game with the halal meat options. Makes student life more easier

Jude Law in the talented mr Ripley (the movie mentioned) is the most exquisite thing that happened in cinema
💯
I was coming here to say this! You have great taste ❤.
Omg universities have halal meat options?! That’s so great!! Which ones besides Columbia though?

Because it is a long time lmao. You’re definitely not supposed to go that long without eating.
I feel weak and shaky if I don’t eat for a few hours. If I’m resting and at home it’s different. But if I’m running around at work I am constantly starving.
I love that movie! Talented Mr Ripley
I kept getting thrown off when she was saying she was eating “breakfast” and “dinner”😅
Just thought I'd let you know. DD's egg and cheese wrap is not halal unfortunately. They use velveeta cheese which contains pig enzymes.

You’ll get used to it overtime. And it’s a great to cleanse your gut once a year lol

Living in a large city with 24/7 shops seems like useful for ramadan observing peppl. But when do you sleep, during the morning?

Is this mizzou? It looks so much like it and you said Columbia…
Bro this guy in my class said he couldnt contribute to a group project bc he was too tired from fasting
That's me, i would do the same
When do you sleep?
Im confused..... What u eat in a day of fasting???? Doesn't "fasting" mean "not eating food"??!!!

Your fast isn't useless 🙄, people in other countries don't always have options for zubiha meats.
As a Muslim why don’t u just assume that she ate halal, it’s the standard so why wouldn’t she ??

You should respect people following other religions.
