Re: the comment about SE possibly dying due to Space Age at 27:16. The mod creator (Earendel) now works for Wube, and has stated that SE development will continue; it will be compatible with the 2.0 update AND Space Age. It is possible SE may require SA going forward, but Earendel is undecided. Mind you, this was said last August, so something may have changed since then.
Re: 16:00 discussion on 300+ hour twists in videogames: I started playing Warframe a while back, and I still remember how confused, surprised, and excited I was when i finished a certain quest that completely changed how I looked at my self, my role in the story, and the Warframes. I was lucky enough to play before spoilers for the quest became commonplace, and managed to play over 300 hours before getting there. Despite most of the community knowing about it, everyone was very careful to not spoil it for the tenno who didn't know (at the time), as were the developers.
After all that time your designs have improved alot. At least the space ones. Theese don't look like the nauvis old spaghetti Edit: I take that back aftet seeing holmium
I've '000s of hours in my various SE/K2 runs and I've never thought about putting a spider at the front of spaceships. Also, space elevators best use is to transfer power from space to planet/moon - Solar all the way. The ongoing cost to maintain each elevator is negligible and can easily services by a set of delivery cannons.
I think the point of the space ship is automation since then you don't need cargo sections and the speed doesn't matter with enough of them. This one's still useful for planetary stuff if paired with space elevators on each end. I also like sending it to areas a cargo rocket isn't good at reaching due to smacking into asteroids
In our game, we recovered that spaceship almost as soon as we discovered it. Then I spent an immense amount of time trying to make the ship actually useful, which it wasn't on recovery - the design is really garbage. PROTIP: You can redesign ship to put a nuclear reactor on it with condenser turbines, making it useful as a space-to-space taxi. The real utility comes when you get rocket engines and can actually take off from planetary surfaces.
Hey sauceman I've been doing a follow along playthrough learning from you guys and Dosh Respectively and a mod i think you should look at is LTN conbinator it should plug straight into your rail systems and will let you set them up a lot easier, also you can designate different train lengths for stops and such all through a nice sensible interface. has helped me with having 1-4-1 trains and 1-2-1 trains in the same rail system. make logistics easy and I think Wozz would find it a fun toy.
