Various Campgrounds and BLM land at Lake Havasu, AZ - December 2022

- I drove around for the different campgrounds around Lake Havasu for a future camping visit. I found several I would be happy to stay at for a few nights, check them out. :)

It's important that after th 14 day initial stay. to leave for at least a day or two
Go on down to th other two fee canp grounds with no hook ups
CRAIGGIES WASH Is th next one. Going south
I've never seen any kind otf law enforcement at th B L M free campsites . however I heard
They know when your 14 days are up .
There ate also pay RV camping with hookups ALL ALONG th river.
However it's a little pricey right now

These places you’re showing are great but you don’t really say the names and how much it cost to stay there.
Sorry, BLM lands are free with a 14 day limit and they were Lonetree campground first then Craggy Wash campground. The first State Park campgrounds was Lake Havasu state Park, $35 for regular sites, the second campground was privately owned called, Crazy Horse Campground and there was no price, you would have to call for information. I gave the phone number. The third place was a AZ state campground called, River Island state park, and that was running $30 a night, then Cattail Cove state Park was also running about $30 a night. The last stop was, "Standard wash area" and that was BLM land and free for camping, it's HUGE :)

So, what's the deal on the 14 day rule ? After 14 days, you need to change sites ? Or do you have to vacate ?
From what I heard is that after 14 days you have to move at least 25 miles away and then you can camp another 14 days at another campsite. It may be different in different areas but 14 days is the norm. Thanks for watching. :)

Is that primitive camping?
There is BLM camping around Havasu Lake area which could be considered primitive camping, dry camping or boondocking. If you are referring to the photo that is a park around the channel at Lake Havasu where the London Bridge is located.

Have you checked out Quartzside Arizona especially for the RTR in January-there are short and long term places there to stay most long term are 180 dollars for 6 months great deal-Arenberg outside of Quartzside heading to California has BLM no charge and I don’t think there is a limit there at least not in 2016 and 2017 when we were there we stayed for free
Yes, I just went yesterday for the day and all still applies. I haven't spent the night yet but plan on it in the future. :)
Too bad they have changed the BLM to 14 day limit--you definitely didn’t drive into Craigy Wash in Lake Havasu far enough back in 2016 we were there and we were able to stay for 6 weeks it’s the best place ever we enjoyed my husband had been there in previous years-much prettier and more campers further in you go but not close together which is nice--another great place is American Girl Mine close to Yuma near California border and Mexican border no limit staying there at least when we went-enjoyed your video

$30 a night to park oh my God what's $900 a month I hope I don't plan on staying long
It's getting that way everywhere
10 years from now there won't be any free camping they'll all be paid camping sites
I think it may be sooner than that :(
