I am a manager at a Goodwill here in Washington state, and I can tell you one reason you dont see many VHS is because we are only suppose to put out a limited number.. My store has one shelf that holds about 50 VHS I make sure to keep it full, but some goodwills dont put any out. They go straight to outlet stores.
Hell ya it is. I remember the first Topps Finest card I purchased down at the Ashland, KY mall. It was a guy I didn't even like but the card was so rad. It was Stan Humphries of the Chargers. I paid $2 for it. Do you guys remember how they used to have the protective covering for them? I never pealed mine off it's somewhere up in my parents attic with all my toys lol
I don’t know if someone else has mentioned it but here in the UK all vhs clamshells were like that, so that may be a UK release version of Transformers.
That need for speed game most wanted he had in his hand was worth around 40 bucks. And I believe you said they were selling for 6 bucks. You def missed out on that.

I work at Goodwill in Canada and can confirm that all VHS tapes we receive sealed or not we instantly throw them in the trash. Feels like a waste seeing how many people enjoy them :(

Your Transformers VHS is almost like the cases we got VHS in here in the UK. Which is ironic, due to space I wished the UK got them in the US style cardboard sleeve. Epic video.
Where I live they have one Goodwill in the whole city. The one my wife and I go to has lots of Disney VHS tapes, I just don't know how much they are worth and I don't have a VCR to see if they will disintegrate or not lol
It's hard to find Rainbow Brite! I used to have the book and tape as a kid and wish I had kept it :) But in recent months I picked up the Starbright horse plush toy from the 80s..Lovely find!
Rick et al, Living in the south east of the US, you should keep your eyes open for Charlton comic book titles. They're easy to recognize and some could be worth quite a pretty penny! Also, the diversity of their titles fits right in with the content of your fine channel -- lots of cartoon characters.

I went to a Family video store right before it closed down in my town, how it was still around up until 2020 I have no clue. Long story short they threw away all their shelves and I wanted to take like 5 home and set up a video store with only vhs in my basement but the wife wasn’t having it. Still regret not getting them and I can always just build some but it will never be the same
Crocheting is ALOT of work! I love it though. It makes me sad when I see someone’s hard work at the thrift stores or what have you. I would buy those pillows for sure 😊

I live in Ohio and the Goodwill stores in my area are under different management by county. There are three stores under the same management that never have VHS. There are three other stores under different management that have a huge selection of VHS. It's my theory that some stores won't waste shelf space for certain items like VHS.
As a manager of a goodwill, I can agree with this. But that comes from cooperate. My store we have 1 shelf for vhs I keep full at all times, but the store 30 miles away does not carry any VHS due to being a smaller store. Most of the time you will find that our VHS gets sent to the outlet goodwill in your area.
First your son is very well behaved, but he reminded me of my son at about one year old knew Veggie Tales even without the green tapes, just by logo. I also did try that prize selling thing from the comics, and I didn't do very well, not many people want greeting cards in summer and in Wisconsin in the 80's.
your lucky ive been looking for looney tunes mugs but they don't exisr here. After they did the transformers movie people hated that their favorite ones died thats why they brought him back in the series.

rainbow brites theme song is permanently ingrained in my head from my sister. She use to spam the one vhs she had of it.
Topps Finest was first released 1992 for baseball, football And Basketball 1993 . The football sheet you have is 1994.

My husband use to work at Goodwill and they say VHS has no resale value and they all just go right in the compactor
