Deepak Thimayaji deserves praise for making the interview available to us. His poise as well the way he conducted it is indeed laudable. Rev. Harshanandaji was a legend even in his life time. His answers to Deepakji's sharp questions are just superb and deserve to be circulated widely.
Rev Swami Harshananda ji was called as the (Walking Encyclopedia of Hinduism).
Unique Speech memorable I felt that Swami Ramkrishna a Great Indian Saint is reappeared on this earth in the form of Swami Harshanandji. What else Can I say more than this. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹🙏🙏

Sir, I had watched this interview, when it was telecasted, I have been following him since 1989; The void created by him can hardly be filled, was an embodiment of knowledge, humility, simplicity and last word for the samyasa order, with broad mind and heart; He was a nationalistic ascetic, for whom "inner askesis" was more important than "physical acsetism". He had indepth knowledge in scriptures and could deliver discourses in a simple & lucid English & Kannada. Swamiji will ever remain in the hearts of Kannadigas in particular & our Bharath in general. Shree Deepak Thimmaiha deserves to be congratulated for this piece of interview.

Most profound explanation of Hinduism by the late Swami Harshananda at a time when this word has been completely destroyed - more since 2014. In an other profound discourse that he delivered at the Gokhale Institute of Public Affairs, the Swamiji introduced a Hindu, thus: "heenancha dooshyathi eva hinduhu ithi uchyathe priye"; (from the Meru Tantra - dialogue between Shiva and Parvathi), which roughly translates to: "those who desist from engaging in what is inappropriate, is a Hindu".
