Just watched the netflix one, eps 1 and i swear it gave me a Nostalgia i felt like i know everything.... this chilhood memory was buried in my memories but was unlocked by that eps 1. Felt like i was rewatching an eps i watched when i was a kid.

Totally. The original didn’t even have to try to be amazing, but every copy tried TOO hard to be as great, and ended up being absolutely awful. Legend of Korra wasn’t awful, but it did try too hard to follow in its predecessor’s footsteps.
I just noticed at 34:52 minutes if you hear closely, after Sokka says "Rocky!" (which is, from my pov, the best joke from the entire Book 1), someone in the background coughed! And from what I hear someone was trying to hide his laugh!
I just love uncle Iroh so much,, he is more fatherly to prince Zuko than Ozai ever was.
Right in the movie he was even more awesome than in the anima
