    And if you are scheduled to go to SERE anytime soon, I wish you all the best! If I can get through it (barely), then you can too! 😅 If you have any questions about the training, feel free to leave me a comment or hit me up on my socials!

    Nice video, it’s cool to see it all from a student’s perspective and I think you did a really great job of explaining things without…explaining things lol. The course is a reality check for most, I love how you said you might hear things about the course before, but everyone’s experience is a little different which is absolutely true. If you’re about to go through the course, maybe it’s Sunday before you start and you’re in your hotel room right now, imagine yourself graduating. Don’t focus on what you have ahead of you, focus on something you’re looking forward to afterward. Thousands graduate every year, and you’ll be a graduate too soon enough, but you have to earn it like everyone else. Give it all you got while you have the chance because you’ll only go through the course at Fairchild once.

    Thanks for the upload and view of the journey. Linking up with the recruiter and going over doing this in the reserves. My friends brother is in the Air Guard here in Minneapolis-St. Paul said, "No, you gotta get in a in-demand job that's easy and gets your rank up." So far he hasn't seem to move up far and he's been in 6 years. I say enlisting is a challenge and you gotta be willing to take more challenges to make it worthwhile.

    I currently just graduated bmt and now I’m fundies in my aircrew tech school. I’m airborne mission systems. Idk if it’s different for you since you’re flight attendant but I’ve been dreading sere ever since the day I been informed about it. I’m 19 and literally have no experience at all with any of this. But seeing you still smile and make it through gives me a lil hope for myself I’m just sooooo scared omg

      🫡 Congrats on graduating and if you have other questions, just lemme know! 😁

    late to the party but watching this now the schedule for the days of training seems a lot better than it is in ECAC cause that course barely gives you time to eat at all for the week you're there

    My experience through SERE 4 years ago: Water survival: fun if you're a strong swimmer, otherwise it's hell. They give you LPUs, but...eh. If you're scared of the water, it is what it is lol It's a VERY long few days. And you'll be cold. RT: definitely got called a whore a few times, but once you finish training, you realize it was kinda fun lmao. Just remember they won't let anything happen to you and are psychologists are watching very closely the entire time. Survival training: I HATED it. Hiking in the snow around mountains with no food for days? Nah...
    It is the most meaningful, memorable training I've ever gone through, and I trained in my job for 4 years. You'll feel like superman when you leave. You're capable than a lot more than you think you are

    My SERE was 3 weeks a Fairchild in February, 4 days in Pensacola, in early March and I later went to helicopters and has two days again in Fairchild. I never had the opportunity to get the "advanced beatings" in RT part duex.

    Congratulations! Do you need to be a swimmer for this training? That’s the only thing I’m nervous about. I can’t swim, and the AF does not require its members to

    • @frassix_youtube
      @frassix_youtube  Год назад +2

      Haha I’m not an avid swimmer as well so I was pretty nervous going into it. But (as far as I know) you don’t need to necessarily know how to swim. Just be vocal about your skill set the day of the water course. They’ll just separate you into a smaller group so they can keep an extra eye out for you once your in the water with your vest and everything! Their number one priority is your safety.
      🫡 Good luck and if there is anything else you have questions about, just lemme know! 😁

    • @frassix_youtube
      @frassix_youtube  9 месяцев назад

      If you’re already in the military, any known food allergies would already be documented prior to joining and if there are waivers for those allergies, those (I would assume) can be passed onto the instructors/medical at SERE 😁
      I’m not 100% on that though haha 😅
