Some really smart ideas! Its nice to finally see people thinking about security with their chickens instead of complaining about how the coyotes killed all of theirs. I never knew about the red lights. I may buy a few just so Thor (our dog) can be a little safer in the middle of the night when he needs a nature break.
Thank you so much, I couldn’t agree more it’s only fair we do everything we can to give them a safe home! We love the red lights, it has worked here for over a year and keeps the predators out for us!
I also use the red lights at night and it seems to help. I purchased wolf urine with tags to put on my fences, bought online as well and animals stay away since it is higher in the food chain. I bought the hologram (cutout) owls and put on 3 sides of the property and it messes with the hawks eyes and they stay away.
Thank you so much for sharing your great ideas Cheryl! 😊 I have seen those owl cutouts but didn’t know if they worked or not! So happy to hear they are working well for you, I will have to look into adding them here as well!
@@sillypoo22 You are very welcome, I think it is also timely as it may keep away birds that carry the Avian flu virus, but hopefully the heat of summer will kill the virus anyway.
Greetings from New Hampshire! Congrats on your new RUclips journey! I actually just left ya a little note (novel really LOL) on Facebook, but wanted to check out your channel and give ya our support. Blessings! 👍
Yes! He is an absolutely amazing rooster! Probably fought off the coyote for about a minute or so before we could get out there and get the coyote to leave! It was a lucky day on or land for sure!
Love seeing the setup you have on your ranch!
