I met Viv in 1984 (could have been 85) in a record shop in Southampton when he was on tour with Dio. We were all much younger then, but he was fantastic, and we had a good chat with him. Such a calm, friendly, gentle guy.
Can you imagine actually being able to go and see these guys in concert? What an amazing thing they are doing coming back out and sharing their talents with us again. They helped shape my teenage years

Viv is one of the soundest guys ever. He played with Sweet Savage in the Crofton Airport Hotel, Dublin; pretty much a direct road link from Belfast to Dublin. I was in a band called Stryder, Dublin based. If memory serves me correctly, both bands took alternating Friday night residencies in the aforementioned hotel after the Lookalikes absconded, having signed a deal with Rod Stewart's Riva Records. I stand to be corrected but I believe I have the gist of the history. I also remember that Sweet Savage's roadie, Studs, ended up working with Brian Robertson's post-Lizzy band, "Wild Horses".
The more I watch videos like these put out by the band members, the more I feel like a family member or close friend than I do a fan! I've been a fan of this band since they first came out. Went through all the ups and downs they went through as a band like Rick Allen losing his arm and Steve Clark losing his life! I've seen almost every single video they or others have put out! I've seen their music videos, documentary videos, interview videos, etc! Am I the only one who feels this?

I've been to see them both w Steve as a kid and w Viv on the euphoria tour and others I've seen them 6 times only band I've seen more is 3rd eye blind funny they are my two fav bands w brand new mixed in. Yeah I saw them at 5 yrs old on the pyromania tour w my uncle straight fire

Tom Anderson guitar not quite as good as a Jackson butt is a million billion quadrillion times better than a ugly Les Paul sorry just not my thing at least it wasn't a SG now that would just be a piece of plywood for a guitar😊 I really do like the Tom Anderson guitars they're pretty cool I've seen a trans green one a little pricey I would really like to see some of Phil's old Jackson Dinky those were absolutely out of this world😊

I cranked it as loud as I could get away with in my dorm room! I saw them perform with Steve Clark twice before he died. I love Hysteria, but honestly I listen to Slang or Euphoria or Adrenalize more because I’m a “deep cuts” girl. Paper Sun, Day After Day and White Lightning are three of the best rockers they’ve ever done. (you probably don’t even know the songs I just mentioned if you stopped listening after Pyromania or Hysteria. They can go toe to toe with High ‘n Dry any day, IMO, so you may want to check them out.) I’m not just some casual fan who only knows Sugar and Photograph. And I know damn well how great a guitarist Viv is! I saw him play with Last in Line last year, and he killed it! I saw Leppard perform in Seattle last year, and caught both their shows in Sheffield this year! I went to their album signing there and got to talk to each of them for a couple of seconds. All of them couldn’t have been nicer, including Viv and Phil, who are always friendly and down to earth with their fans. They are all good guys. So before you make assumptions about someone just because they stick up for a band they like, you might want to give them the benefit of the doubt first and see that they may just be a lot more “educated” than you know. 😮
