Idea: What if Barry hasn't died but he's gone missing and it turns out, that the Sloths have actually taken him hostage to take over Barrys job/park and there are subtle hints - or not so subtle and it's literally just poor old Barry - in their enclosure. Thought that might also be a interesting alternative :) Also this enclosure looks incredible already and I'm very excited for Season 2 :D

But he never gives it the same attention to it as he does with the dinosaur games. It’s not fair for people like me who isn’t as interested in dinosaurs
@@acdragonrider True...But I understand why it's draining because it took me hours to make the building I have and they're nothing compared to what he's done so far.
@@acdragonrider he did also explain in this video that he has to earn a living. He wouldn’t be able to do that if he gave PZ videos the same kind of attention. I’m also not really interested in JWE videos but I’m glad he still does the occasional PZ video despite the financial loss ❤
Oh my gosh I love how the tropical animals have a backstory that includes death and evilness and abandonment.... Of course it does. What would Elderwood be without some crazy stories behind it? Given that it's partly inspired by Alan Wake, it kind of makes sense that some things are just inevitably due to an evil presence in the park.
(When it comes to hiding the staff areas.... outside of habitats, staff pay no attention to obstacles. As long as they're outside the habitat, they're perfectly happy to stroll through walls or ghost their way through a mountainside. So if you REALLY want to hide the staff buildings and aren't happy with how it looks, you can just hide them in the hillside and the staff will still operate perfectly fine as long as they area immediately around the habitat gate is clear.)
I completely understand why you needed a break from Elderwood and PZ in general... It happens. The game has so many possibilities that it can become overwhelming, especially if you get over-ambitious. But I have missed this series, and I'm glad to see it return--even if it's just for a little while. Your builds tend to be so unique and creative, and you really have improved since the game first launched--this park is on a completely different tier from your prior projects. I love the ways you've made this area feel neglected and overgrown. And the cascading waterfall. Waterfalls can be so tricky in this game, it takes a lot of skill to make them look good.
The red river hogs are great. If/when they do have babies, I fully expect a brief diversion from whatever episode you're recording to go and exclaim over the adorable babies for a minute, haha. They deserve it.

I appreciate your planet zoo builds very much. Other builders are nice too, but I like when your builds go off the rails and are wild, and crazy. Keep up the great work!
So happy you're back! I've been missing your PZ builds! The laws about exotic or wild animal species ownership in the USA vary a lot by state. I have definitely been to a "Tragic Terry's" in Florida that had signs on their baby alligator tanks that basically said, "These are definitely not for sale. Definitely not, but if they were, they'd start at $150."

Maybe for the sloth exhibit Bonkers Barry built a shrine to honour and worship the Sloth God Lyddie?

"tragic terry's lizard hut" sounds a lot like the "zoo" near my college called Clyde Peeling's Reptile World

I wanted to say the prodigal son has returned but I’ll save that for Saurian, so I’ll say welcome back old friend.
In my head, I'd have made the tropical area like a plant nursery or green house with those tropical animals being used as attractions to get people to come buy the nursery's plants. It would be a fun way to get to use the new foilage and not feel bad about it.

Also, hey, taking a break is normal and honestly pretty necessary. Make it so that first of all, you enjoy yourself. That is the most important.

Lol, I practically work at one of those “side zoo” like places you talk about.
We call it an educational park though. We have most all the North American animals there. I’m mainly a tour guide but I help take care of the animals too! ❤

Hmmm - what if the sloth habitat is part of the railway and the sloths live inside a railway tunnel or bridge?
As someone who loves horticulture and plants I think any other horticulturists would lose their minds to find these many Rafflesia flowers in one area (the giant red pink flower on the ground). They’re incredibly rare, often poached and they smell like rotting flesh to attract flies so they can be pollinated.

It is a weird thing in the states. Like there was a guy who had a zebra just in his apartment. Poor zebra in all actuality. Closest you get in this country is someone having a rescue for exotic animals in a shop building or in a big garden.

You could build Barry a house but he has been murdered by sloths and the guests can walk through to see the sloths

For me, personally, waterfall mechanics should be something embedded in the water physics itself and work somewhat like in Zoo Tycoon 2
