      Morgan Owens Yeah but the NFL Network was making him seem like he had to go in the middle of the first round for weeks and I was positive he would end up getting drafted there, but I’ve learned since that running-backs don’t usually get taken that high unless they’re like Christian McCaffrey or Saquon Barkley

    The high school stuff is a bit off. I went to the same high school and had the same guidance counselor my junior year. The problem was that her family bought him a car, which crossed a line, because obviously she couldn’t do that for every other student.
    Also Derrius wasn’t bullied for football. Dude was untouchable on campus. He was the best football player we had since Warrick Dunn. If anything, he was problematic because the school always catered to him. He did things that would have gotten other students suspended/expelled, but the administration would look the other way

      I don't think any of us can say whether or not someone felt/was bullied. You were on the outside looking in. This video is on his perspective of what he went through. Is it not possible he was bullied at some point before becoming king of your school? It's hard to know what a classmate or teammates is going through in highschool since everyone is dramatic as hell

      Joel Rice his attitude was more of cocky and arrogant. If you want to talk about bullying, I can tell you he did bully other kids just based off of their appearance and stuff like that.

    Well sad he lost his dad so young. For us dads, sometimes the bigger man is the one who is one that can de-escalte and walk away if not for us for those that depend on us to be there for them. I hope he gets his life back on track. He's a hell of a running back. Hope he realizes what truly matters and gets some help so he can be there for the people that are counting on him.

    I live in New Orleans, and it’s getting worse for him. The allegations are mounting, including by a 70+ year old Super Dome employee. She broke down in tears during a senate hearing. It’s very sad. This man had the world in his palms.

In this video when you made the statement, "I'm not here to judge or make excuses for Derrius Guice" I thought, "I sure hope this guy doesn't get any charges of bias, because you are one of the most sincere, fair, and objective commentators on RUclips. You never preach; you never belittle; and you never try to make YOURSELF the focus of the story (except, of course, in the videos where you discuss your own life and career).     Being blessed to be in a position to make it out the hood, go to college on a scholarship and receive a career opportunity that pays you millions of dollars, doesn't wipe away a traumatic child hood lived without a father who was murdered when you were 6 and you were old enough to remember the last conversation you ever had with him. That young man and a lot of young men like him need deep internal help and healing that no amount of money can pay for.

I hope someone like Brandon Marshall will reach out and try and get him some help. PTSD from childhood and anger management problems are a bad combination. Given that those are his issues

    I’m 3 years late 😂 but I just saw guice last year at the zoo with his family. It wasn’t my first time running across him but I hadn’t seen him before then since he was at LSU, he seemed different in a better way, when he was in college he was cocky, but seeing him last year he seemed reserved relaxed and very humble.

    It’s sad... I remember watching Guice and as an LSU fan, I loved what he brought to the team. I wish he would’ve looked for help earlier because his potential has no ceiling. Really hoping he can forgive himself and find a way to make things right in his personal life. Also, thanks Flem for the great videos!       Philip Fuentes it’s been proven with stats. Kids who grow up in single parent households tend to have a harder time and are more likely to get involved in crimes. I understand it shouldn’t be an excuse but your childhood struggles do affect your maturity

      Because his career is over. Only two seasons in and Guice was getting outperformed by 33 year old Adrian Peterson. Multiple disciplinary issues within the team and criminal domestic violence charges off the field. It's one thing to be a Tyreek Hill and have a domestic violence charge, but it's another when you're already unproductive
