Season 1 was so well made, it had comedy, fried ship, bromance, and romance. Most historical dramas, lack consistent comedy so it can get dry. But I the bromance of season 1 made it so entertaining. None of the friends betrayed each other. And mudeok and jang uk’s romance was a slow brew, we watched them start as master and pupil then friends, and lovers. In an interview, the actor for jang uk even said for part 2, he basically felt like he had to portray an entirely different character
This drama is extraordinary. The hilarious scenes make me laugh so hard. They are all funny, but Mudeok's character deserves a raise! She is so funny and naturally charming. Her facial expressions evoke a lot of emotions in a snap of a short time. She is such a great actress.

I was searching for the reason why I loved season 2 however I felt it was lacking something. This comedy was season one's charisma and cute scared jang UK and this straight forward man towards his feelings.
Season 2 lacked the strong mindset of naksu. Season 2 naksu was rather dull and helpess. But we all rooted for the naksu we saw in season 1 so we were so disappointed in s2 😢
Jung Somin is so good at showing her expressive face, she can show her feelings just with facial expressions, that's why she nailed every comedy scene so well. I see in some dramas/movies sometimes comedy scenes can fail because the actress/actor is not expressive, so their expression can't support the comedic situation.
She is a great actress. She is very good with her facial expressions and all. She should get more recognition in the industry. I never bore watching her drama.

they said she's just not gonna be on the 1st 4 eps of S2. not sure if that's true. they better bring her back coz it doesn't make sense that they won't since it's bu-yeon's soul trapped in the soul realm and which is actually protecting Jang Uk. Bu-Yeon is Jinyowon's heiress.
So Min cast as Mu-Deok made so much sense because the contrast of a baby-faced actress playing a deadly assassin was interesting and funny. Plus Mu-Deok as a character brought the best of Naksu and Bu-yeon together. Hong sisters literally wrecked their own show for god knows what at the end by replacing the actress. lol

mudeok is really the lead in this drama, and I love and falling for this couple. I skip to watch s2 after watch s2 eps 1 cause it feels wrong and too force without mudeok. for me, the series is about of mudeok soul too :'')
Glad I came across this. Reminded me of why I love this drama more than others. Apart from the comedic part, the action, romance, even horror are all on there peak. Will surely rewatch S1. S2 just did not give me this vibe.

-Mudeok and Jang Uk non-bickering
-Danggu and Jang uk being the cause of Jin's headache
Great show with excellent actors! Emotions all over the place. My wife and I loved this and the Characters were fantastic! Great chemistry between them all.
Jang Uk and Mudeok's facial expressions in the trailer are what convinced to wanna watch this series & I DON'T REGRET IT!!!!
