This isnt a bad thing because it forces you to figure it out as well as put your own spin on it (which I did). Thank you SKS for the video and the new hookup for the awesome foam. Ill be teaching a class this weekend using the foam and where to get it for their projects :)

I was looking to make one of my own and was a little bit confused at the quantity of material I ought to order for that very project. Is there a list you would recommend so I would not be running out of material halfway, or perhaps a written walkthrough of your steps as my english is not that great? Hey man I am looking for a chaos space marine cosplay and it would be cool if you could one or even like a space marine cosplay (for templates) it would be really cool if you could!
So I am wondering what the amount of each thickness of foam I would need to make this. I see the ingredients but wonder how much of each sheet I would need
One question to that HD Foam he used, is it different from EVA Foam, because that stuff looks amazingly good, but I have only worked with EVA so far...
HD-Foam is my line I specifically designed with a manufacture for prop and costume fabrication. It's still an eva foam but a much higher quality. Biggest difference is a higher desnity at a shore 38 hardness which means it's easier to manipulate and it cuts/sands a lot smoother than regular eva. My line of foam is sold through Blick Art Materials links in the description is you want to check it out

Same chain sword, but with a rotating blade. Motorization is optional because just typing that, it sounds phenomenally difficult.

Check out www.therpf.com lots of different templates and tutorials on there. That's where I started to learn 6 years ago.
If you really want a challenge, time to make a Boltgun and a full Space Marine Power armor to go with that awesome chainsword!

cellano yes you can which is why I only use them for demo purposes or when I get in a pinch to build something really fast 😉
