AUDIO INTV: Tom Penny - Stream of Consciousness - Skateboarder Magazine Oct 2003

This was the audio of the conversation used for Tom Penny's "Divulge" interview from the October 2003 issue of Skateboarder Magazine (Vol. 13, No. 2). Once again, Ill add the disclaimer that these were never intended for public use, simply to gather the text for the print magazine feature, so pardon any rough edges. This was the first time I got to speak to Tom and at the time he was probably my all time favorite skateboarder (he still sits high on my list if not at the top). He had been off the radar roaming around EU for years before resurfacing in the States right around when this call went down. Point being I was shaking when I asked the first few questions. Only after we got off the phone did I realize that it sounds like he lights a spliff in classic Tom Penny form right after I ask the first Q. After I played a small portion of this tape in my Skatehoarders episode ( • Rare Skateboard Collec... ) a bunch of people asked to hear the whole thing. I also uploaded scans (deadhippieportf...) of the finished article in the magazine to my site. Big ups to Tom and hope you enjoy listening.
