I bought some of these in 2017 and they lasted well and had great grip. I bought another pair recently and they are terrible. They look the same but I think they may have changed the material as no matter what I do I can't get any decent grip out of them at all.
I bought a set to give my hands a rest when doing pullups and chinups. Between barbells and doing bjj 4-5x/week these are definitely saving some wear my my hands. I bought the no hole design. With chalk they offer good grip on my pullup bar. If you are on the edge of sizes I would suggest sizing up. I am a large by their measurements but my hands are longer than average so an XL would have been better. For the $45 I paid they're good value.
Hi, thanks great short review. The carbon 3 finger Just arrived to test. Gymnastics is quite New for me. I try to do The more advanced crossfit stuff now Question: what do you think of The latest Black Diamond ones? Compared to This one? I dont really use chalk in general Cheers I
thank you so much for this review. I tried the Alec Smith grips and didn't like them, I felt like other grips would not work out. These seem to be the best ones according to your video and some other peoples. I was also struggling with picking between 2 hole and 3 hole. This helped for that.
My palm measures 4.25 This is the top end size for the small and the small end size of the medium. Taking stretch into account which one do you recommend. The reason why I'm asking is because I heard you also want some extra to wrap around the bar. Any thoughts?
the komplex carbon fiber grips its also meant to be folded over and used like a little dowel like the Victory Grips Stealth for protect you fingers?? or you only can use it in the first knuckle to protect fingers thank you for your review, and sorry for my english, greetings form spain
I'm looking for a grip that is thinner than the traditional ones and so it has the firmness of a Natural Grip but that is easier to put in the hands, without the use of tape or wrist ... Do you recommend any? Maybe Jaw or Woodies?
@@AMRAP Thank you very much. I'm far from doing Ring Muscle ups although i love my progress so far. I consider wether the grips provide help at the monkey bars on those days when the calluses force me to rest while my muscles wish to exercise - would you recommend them for monkey bars? (I'd ask wether 2 or 3 holes are better then)
Hi, amazing review, ! really accurate on the information i was looking for. Just one question: If you had chosen a medium size instead of a large, would you still have that dowel or fold grip? My palm is 3.97 so i am in doubt on choosing between the M and L. Thanks in advance for your recommendation :)
If I got a medium I would still use them on the first knuckle...but now I don't even use the holes at all. For you I would recommend getting medium and using them over the first knuckle.
Also for ring muscle-ups? cause in this video you said the three hole ones are preferred for them (I mostly do bar muscle-ups when in in the park and ring muscle-ups when im at home and especially with the rings muscle-ups I could use some more grip) So now you’re basically saying: buy the two hole carbon ones in Large?
Wanna see your review of new stealth grips by victory grips, which are made of a high performance synthetic microfiber. I wanna know the comparison between stealth grips and bear komplex carbon grips.
While I love my WoD&Done temporary ones I think I should upgrade to some permanent grips for pull-ups (Since I cannot do MUs... yet...) I prefer a thinner grip which one would you recommend? Would you recommend ones that go to the first knuckle or ones I can put as far back on my fingers as possible?
Perfect, thank you. Since I usually rip where the 2 finger holes (Ring and middle finger) are I am guessing I should go for the 2 hole instead of the 3? I ripped twice on my right hand 3 weeks ago and it is just finally almost fully healed.
I liked these but they fell apart on me after 2 months...one grip completely ripped away from the wrist section, the other's velcro strap came off. Other than them falling apart, they were the grippiest and most comfortable grips I have ever used...but can't the fact they fell apart after only 2 months makes them a no go
Hey man exact same thing happened to me. One ripped of the wrist the other velcro fell apart. Sent Bear Komplex the photos and an email and they sent me a free replacement pair. New ones haven't had a scratch yet!
This is actually false. The Carbon Hand Grips are actually advertised as VEGAN-friendly and have no leather in them. I was kinda surprised to see you say in your review that they indeed include leather - when in fact, it's false.
@@AMRAP Fair enough! I just don't buy any leather products and was doing my research to see which grips are actually vegan friendly, so i came here to make a comment and help other fellow vegans realize that these are actually, as advertises - vegan friendly. Thanks for the review and the quick reply tho! you're great.
I’d say they’re worth the price. 2 hole fits great. I like the strap too. It’s comfortable and secure. Well designed. However, the grip isn’t amazing. I was expecting better hold for my pull-ups. I guess I’ll need some chalk as well 😕
Bear Komplex if you are watching my com, I'm gonna buy your product because this video convinced me. So reward this man for me.
BlackHedrak I don't need any rewards other than this comment! Enjoy the grips!
Hey Joel, good to see you on here still doing your thing! Thanks to this review you just answered my question! Bear Komplex Carbon grips it is.

How about a pair with no finger holes? Have you tried them
If you prefer to not use the holes, would sizing up be smart?

great video. Just bought a pair after the review. Looking forward to it!
Would you say these help with making false grip easier for strict muscle ups on rings or a pullup bar?
the komplex carbon fiber grips its also meant to be folded over and used like a little dowel like the Victory Grips Stealth for protect you fingers??

Do the 2 finger Komplex cover all callus on hand once the hand wraps around the bar?

do it again ! you returned stuff after using it hours and why they have to but the scratching of bears it looks bad like hits
In the market to get new grips and these are definitely on the radar. Thanks for the review as always.
Meng-Hsiu 'Tony' Chan you got it brother
How do these compare to lifting straps for medium-heavy Deadlifts? I cbf wrapping up all the time... any thoughts? I use double overhand grip.
Thanks
What’s your personal views on the bear komplex carbons in comparison to the roo grips?
An info site "taught" me 2holes are for women and 3holes for men? I had a feeling its all just a matter of personal preference, is that right?
Bad information. It’s just preference…2 hole grips also end up working better for ring muscle ups since the width doesn’t cause it to bunch up.
@@AMRAP Thank you very much. I'm far from doing Ring Muscle ups although i love my progress so far. 2 hole

This is a little unrelated but I have the original ones and I am wondering are those supposed to be worn on the first knuckle as well?
Felipe Cordova Yup, sure are.
Would you go with the Leather or Carbon? I am looking for durability. Thanks in advance!
Trevor Nix For durability I would go with leather
I have used lifting straps many times but never any kind of grips such as these. How do they compare to lifting straps for really heavy deadlifts?
Zachary Hogan completely different product dude
Do a review on the WODies grips
Nothing to do with this video, but i wanted to know witch backpack has more space for gear, The king Kong II or the reebok you have been using?
The Reebok one has more room overall, but I like the compartments of the King kong.

Jiwon Jeffrey Choi they're on the way.

They're almost all designed to be on the first knuckle, but you can wear them all the way down as well. I would go with these BK Grips.
Perfect, thank you. Since I usually rip where the 2 finger holes (Ring and middle finger) are I am guessing I should go for the 2 hole instead of the 3? I ripped twice on my right hand 3 weeks ago and it is just finally almost fully healed.

Better than Victory? I really love my Victory Grips.
EyesOfDead So do I. Grip=BK, Comfort=VG (I like the dowel)
Just depends on the workout.
Do you think they are good for doing FL? Thanks.
FL?
DL, I meant for deadlifts... sorry.
Is carbon better or the leather ?
What is your opinion on the Jaw grips?
Wicked_Owl very slippy definitely will be getting bear komplex
Do you put chalk on them ?
Cecilia Hernandez yup, for the best grip use chalk!
Perfect, thanks!!
id be shocked if there as good as versa grips or power grips at 25 dollors
Different application, those are for lifting and these are made for gymnastics.
