Can endometriosis cause joint pain? So endometriosis certainly can cause inflammation, inflammation in the pelvis and the abdomen. Some people even have inflammation all the way up into their pleural cavity, but most commonly, endometriosis causes inflammation in the pelvis. This can contribute to joint pain, joint symptoms, symptoms of sciatic nerve pain, and contribute to other joint issues as well.
