@@reenakumari_ocean Yes!!! Taking out most animal products (dairy is my #1 goal, but very seldom eat any other animal products), and adding soy products most days were my focus. My main ovarian cyst had been the same large size for years, and at four months in it was down to less than a quarter of the size. Again the doctors said it wasn't diet but hormones 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ (which of course were affected by my diet)

I had surgery 20 years ago which I needed because I had a huge cyst. However after surgery she told me that I needed to go on Lupron and diet and that diet and acupuncture would not help at all. She laughed and said I’d be back in 5 years. I never went back. I took care of myself with plant based dairy free and sugar free and no alcohol. How we now that I’m in perimeopause I am experiencing endo pain again and heavy periods and clots. Yesterday I went back on endow diet and quit alcohol. This reminds me that you can heal your body with food!!! I still eat organic chicken and fish but I gave up red meat. Thank you for this podcast 🙏🏻

I really appreciate this, I was in tears at Vegan Camp Out 2018 when Neil Barnard gave a talk highlighting endometriosis and diet. I had a hysterectomy due to adenomyosis a few years before and I was horrified when I made the connection between dairy-oestrogen-adenomyosis and endometriosis. I felt like no one would talk about it. My doctor completely dismissed me and hearing a doctor confirm what I'd learned myself was SUCH a relief - validating everything. It was like someone telling me I wasn't crazy after years of being dismissed.

Your interview skills and comments rock! Chef Bai has gone through a lot, but has believed in her instincts and now living a purposeful life spreading the word about the remarkable POWER of the right kind of nutrition. May we all who have benefited from WFPB way of eating be great examples so that people will ask us what we are doing so we can provide them with some important 1st step information to a more quality life.

I’m still in the process of getting diagnosed with endo. I deal with period cramps every period and limited sick days at work.. so I end up using my vacation days as sick days. 😢 since 2020, I’ve been trying to work my way towards veganism but I’m not perfect. It’s a lot of pressure to be 100% when there’s limited options & my family around me eat meat. My cramps have persisted despite really cutting out meat/dairy. I have had 2 periods where the pain was pretty much non-existent, not sure why. But mainly the cramps are still severe every cycle. I do drink coffee and some processed vegan fast food.

Questions for u.. do you take any advil or pain killers for your pain?
Also, i really encourage you to keep trying to completely cut out those main culprits:
      Dairy for sure
      Refined sugars
      Processed food
      Gluten
      Coffee
And the meat just try eating it super sparingly.
Incorporate 1 green juice a day (your favorite choice of greens and fruit).
Your body will thank you and start getting used to this lifestyle change..thats an important thing to note if you're not looking to make this a LIFESTYLE there's no point. 🙁

I find this to be interesting. BECAUSE I have endometriosis with extremely severe bleeding. Talking about my "ultra-extreme +++++ night pad" not being able to my blood for more than half an hour when I exit my house, so I can not spend half an hour without access to a bathroom.
What I noticed is that iron pills and nothing else helps to reduce my bleeding as liver, and other meat. I try to incorporate as many iron-rich foods as possible (heme iron, not non-heme which is for plants and is not as well absorbed).
The thing is, the more iron deficient you are, the more you will bleed. I think your diet would bleed me to death.
It is a shame, if I was not borderline anemic I would be happy to try it.
What helps me is autoimmune protocol, no carbs, no gluten, no eggs, dairy.

    • @SpiritOnAMIssion
      @SpiritOnAMIssion 7 месяцев назад

Yes vegan can be dangerous for some. You have to be able to absorb iron and B12. For me I got more sick with a vegan diet. It's about eating organic and making sure the food including meat does not have any hormone disruptors such as pesticides, chemicals in farmed fish and seafood, growth hormones in meat and even whatever animals are eating can be transferred to you. Especially be careful with farmed fish. Get wild caught and organic free range meats and fish. I wish you all health and wellness. Only we know how much pain and misery we go through with endometriosis and it's heartbreaking that doctors and others just brush you off and don't help you. In a way it's medical neglect but there's not much you can do except try to find the right person to help you that believes and cares about treating you.

Thanks for that information. I could relate to most of it, being properly diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis in mid 2022 (at the age of 32), and had my forst Laparoscopic surgery in jan 2023. There were two surgeons involved. They said that my endo was jist everywhere. Since 2020 i was told they suspect i have endometriosis, but not sure. The surgeon said that there are no studies on diet and endometriosis so you can eat what you like. Only recently, I have been hearing stories of how a change of diet affects endometriosis. However, i have heard conflicting comments. Some say go carnivore to get help with endo, while some day go gluten and dairy free or gluten free and vegan. Does anyone have any experience/ thoughts on this?

Praises until God. My submission to God, de-stressing my life and Plant-based diet (including herbs) heal my endometriosis. Also eat 2 meals a day and pacing my meals 5 to 6 hours apart; including eating at same time each day. There are off days when my meals are not the set time but mostly practicing regularity with meals and sleep helps a lot.

It's weird because diet and lifestyle do in fact help many people but not for all. For me, I worked with a functional medicine doctor to help me and she put me on an anti inflammatory diet and gave me lifestyle changes to do, plus gave me digestive enzymes and probiotics since I had issues there. It helped short-term but after about a year or so my symptoms started to come back and got a lot worse again
I'm now on progesterone only pills that have helped with my symptoms but have caused me to develop liver issues and worsened depression episode as well as caused me to gain weight
It turns out I may just have a sensitive system, I naturally lack certain enzymes and my stress system is extremely sensitive to everything. I have Ehlers-danlos syndrome which makes my whole body not function properly and therefore susceptible to hormonal issues
It seems diet and lifestyle changes only do so much for an individual but for others it completely changes their life. Everyone is different and I think it's not a one size fits all. I think it's a multi system approach and about finding the root cause or multiple root causes for an individual and then treat accordingly

If women recognized we can’t do the feeding as exactally equal to men and stop equality pay just for same job position then we might get more compassion for our issues. But feminism said we are exactally the same - no we are not. Nobody including women wants to spend cost same for 75% of production. Example- if one child care doesn’t change diapers every couple hours and another does who is your better value of care!

@@Human_Herbivore Actually Masai and Inuit health claims are based on old observations, but actual studies have shown different results. If you go to Canadian Government healthcare websites and look for health statistics for Inuit, it says that Inuit people have 4 times higher rates of diabetes and 2 times higher rates of cardiovascular diseases compared to rest of the Canadian population. They also have 14 years less life expectancy than the rest of the Canadian population. Because of lower life expectancy, they die of other causes instead of heart disease as heart disease usually happens in older populations.
