Thank you so much for sharing your endo story! I am also suffering from stage 4 endometriosis and trying to figure out how to navigate life with it post surgery since even after surgery it feels like the complications never go away. So its interesting to hear how people live with this disease. I hope you receive treatments you need! All the best to you endo sis!

@Jessi thank you! I got a hysterectomy which has made a huge difference. I have 1 son, so no regrets. I get to work without calling out 2-3 days each month. I went so long without knowing that what I was going thru wasn't normal. But im so glad I have the knowledge now!

Average diagnosis time is 8 years 😢. Ive had over 50 surgeries now with this horrible disease. Pain diaries persist and support when you go to the Gp may help. Dont give up on children i had a quarter of an ovary left after severe Endometriosis on my Bowel spleen lung and back muscle. Had one healthy miracle baby boy. Im now in my 50s and still suffering😢😢😢😢. Look up the uk Endometriosis Society they helped me. Sending you love and strength to all suffering.🌈🌻🦋

Been dealing with this since I was 10, finally being heard at age 34. Having surgery soon. Stage 4 endo, 2 endometriomas, 1 blocked Fallopian tube, and it’s possibly on my bowels. It’s so sad no one takes us seriously. I’m at work currently and for about a half hour I had radiating ovarian pain into my back and couldn’t walk for a short time. This pain is debilitating.

I got my period at 10, started birth control at 12 for ovarian cysts, IUD almost a year ago, I'm 20 and have yet to get any kind of help because I'm to young and want me to be able to have kids even when I've explained that I'll adopt if I want kids. I know I'll get there but I don't want to wait to long. Also my mom has fibromyalgia so I might have two chronic conditions lol

Wow thank you so much for sharing your story. I have recently been diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis myself and it's good to hear other people's experiences and to know I'm not alone. My bowel and uterus are fused together with scarring and adhesions everywhere else with deeply infiltrated endometriosis. No surgery planned for me for now only the pill with no period for 6 months then maybe surgery 🙄. I only got diagnosed 2 months ago and I already know exactly how you feel with getting fobbed off. And I'm in Australia so the whole world needs to educate themselves. Thank you so much for getting the word out there. 😘 good luck with your journey I'll be following and cheering you on from the sidelines

I’m 56yrs old my GYN said I was a candidate for a hysterectomy I agreed with her since I’ve lived with abnormal periods and chronic pain since I was a teen! I had my Hysterectomy Monday 6/20/22! They discovered stage 4 Endometriosis it covered my bowels and other organs! I’ve lived with chronic diarrhea and pain for decades! I’ve not been able to enjoy life the way I’ve watched others! I was told I had diverticulosis and this could be the cause of the diarrhea! I now have a definitive answer to my issues and I’m not a complainer! I’ve gone to work everyday even though I was in pain for fear of being called lazy or a complainer! Women are told very early on it’s just the time of the month get on with it! That is wrong! I’ve been told I have a lot of scar tissue! Now I’m left to wonder is any of the damage reversible am I going to continue to worry about making it to a bathroom on time! So when you have chronic pain during your period, problems urinating and diarrhea discuss with your Dr the possibility of endometriosis, because they need to check Laparoscopically for endometriosis because it does not show up on Ultrasounds, CTscans , MRI! Be aware! Ask questions and don’t feel like you’re a complainer!

I'm from the UK and now live in Italy luckly the waiting list was only six months long. Stay strong you're going through so much. Unfortunately I think my endometriosis triggered the autoimmune disease that I also have to deal with along side endo. One day at a time. ❤

Wow! Thank you for this! Listening to your story is like hearing my own. I had more bowel issues than bladder but both were damaged. I had to have stents in my bladder and my left overy has just dissapeared into a huge cyst. I was 'lucky' my surgery happened within a couple of months as I was at risk of bowel rupture. Unfortunately I ended up with a 10 hour surgery and an ileostomy for 6 months. Life after excision surgery is better but I still have bowel issues due to my resection and had to give up work. I was diagnosed with IBS age 19 (I was always at the gp with bowel issues), endometriosis age 33 (after paying for a private appt ans scan) and am 39 now. I hope your surgery goes well hun ❤️
