So.. the main thing for me is standing in a room (rehearsal space) and flowing in the same inspirational rhythm, just being in tune and in time with each other, celebrating the arrangements you came up witj together
Back in the 1980s, we had a couple of our local songs on a cart at the local college radio station. (Carts looked like clear 8 track tapes). We would call in and request them and then drive around with unsuspecting friends listening to the radio. Once our song came on we would indifferently say "Oh, this is us. Whatever...They are playing this again...and we would act like we were going to change the channel. Our friends would be all excited we would be indifferent jaded pop stars. Lots of fun. I did it once with my Dad and he couldn't believe it and told all my relatives. Great fun!!!

Thanks! And actually I am very happy. Turns out what I’m really good at is making music for kids. I always just wanted to do something that made people happy and I think I am.
I'm thinking about buying some instruments and starting a band with 2 of my closest friends but we have no experience to playing any instruments not also that I dont have space where I can leave drums or anything like that. I still really want to start a band for fun and see what happens but again I dont have much space for drums or speaker etc. I'll see what I could do cuz I really want to start a band for fun and see where that goes

To me success is my friends and I jamming the songs we enjoy. I wish we did originals, but I guess being a cover band is the path we are currently on.

Start out by learning to play songs by bands you like. Get reasonably good on your instrument and then get some friends and do that together.
