Not gonna lie I can do like 30 pull ups an I’ve never attempted a muscle up an I feel that if I try I’m gonna look dumb asf when I fail 😂 but I’ll try it In a few days at a public gym hopefully nobody will be there at the pull up bars in the corner 😅
Okay, weird compliment here. This was a really well done conversation with yourself. Most times I see things like this, it feels unnatural. The pacing in this was cut really well and you did nice interjections. It's the small things like that in video production that most people don't notice, but still feel. I appreciate the bit of extra effort :)
Agreed. I had to watch again because it feels like there really is two different people. The voices or change of tone is different from each other too. Very well done. Also, great instructions on the muscle up.
This just seems normal to me I’m pretty sure it’s because he talks to himself a lot, because I do the same thing and I’ve had people say shit to me like man you’re able to hold a conversation really well for someone who is basically doing 99% of the talking, and I do talk to myself a lot or I just say shit out loud when I’m alone constantly
@@Raze_4it's nice to see people complimenting/being nice. Kindness goes a long way. God Bless you. Jesus died you, He's the only way to Heaven, and He loves you!
Dude this is how to do a muscle up with a kip. Think of it like doing push-ups with one knee on the ground. You want to do a strict muscle up, not a damn kip up. Anyways, this is a great way to start building strength to do an actual muscle up, but definitely not a strict one
@@auglinds4069 update: did not work for me. You still need a heck of a lot of power to pull the bar all the way to your hip. Still could barely get bar below chest
I remember being here, people say do negatives, rows, and band assisted to build the strength for it, but i found jump pull ups to be most effective for building that mind body connection. Keep your body stiff as a board as you attempt your first. Dont give up👍
Just keep going for that pullups man, everyday, jump pullup, then try to control it slowly going down. Slow control is the best way to build that muscle until you can get it. Your doing great bud!
I like to think I’m decently strong. I can even do pretty heavy weighted pull ups. However, I’ve been trying for months to do muscle ups. I watched your video and I got it first try. AMAZING explanation man thank you!!!
This isn't a muscle up, the whole point is being able to get past that difficult part at the bar. This guy just doesn't have the relative strength to do it as it's not a thing that bodybuilders can do. It's a calisthenics exercise, not a mass building exercise If you cant do a muscle up, you just need to do more pull ups.
Something that wasn’t mentioned is hand positioning. You want to have your palms positioned starting above the bar so that that upward motion is already that and you don’t have to make micro adjustments when coming up.
😅does that look decent to you? Looks like the remains of a swing that's not meant to hold my weight. But I'm fat and 130kg on the lat pulldown only translate to 4_5 pullups for me so. ...point being: it doesn't look particularly solid. Could it look less beefy?
Man I don't have a pull up bar like in the video either but it is pretty easy to setup something similar. I just put a bar between two trees in my house.
You know the hindu pushup? put something slippery under your palms like a towel, then from a pushup position slide yourself ( by engaging your lats ) into a hindu pushup peak position and repeat for reps. Thank me later
Holy shit… this is the third videos of yours I’ve seen and I thought you gave good advice so this one I actually tried and I nearly got it on my third try. I’m not strong enough yet, but now I have the basic movements.
I've been trying on and off for years to get these and this helped me finally get it! The only other cue I'd add is think about starting your pull before you drive up your knees, otherwise this video is perfect. Thank you!!
These videos do help but what helped me the most by far was trying it on a lower bar. People kept saying I have enough strength but the technique seemed so impossible. I watched a short saying how to do it. I tried it in the morning on a high bar and couldn't get it. Tried it in the afternoon on a lower bar just about 3 inches above my head (I'm only 5'6). It felt so easy I thought I didn't do it. Tried it again on a higher bar and have been doing it ever since. My progression on my channel is very low quality and shit but it's real progression even though my form is still bad, I can do 10 muscle ups now. I can probably do more but my joints still feel like they need more strength or I'll end up injuring myself
Bro you are a god I've been doing pull ups daily with like 10+ kg on me trying to get to a muscle up I thought getting better at pull-ups I can do one but this is gold thanks 👍
That some straight science! This is great for Rock climbers, navy seals, James bond, I'll add it to my arsenal of bad ass moves for sticky situations bro thanks!

i seen a lot of videos that teach you how to do a muscle up by doing other exercises, but he gets straight to the point on how to even do it
like all these others assume we know how to do it in the first place and you just cant
that was my problem with pull ups

But I think I treat pullups like a muscle up 💀😭
I don't have a pull up bar , any home exercise that can be done at home without pull up bar for back and shoulders???
I don’t think there are any back exercises but there’s some shoulder exercises like shoulder taps and pike push up
yes there are rows of any kind supermans,push-ups do a little help shoulder press, shrugs.
Look for thin bars in a nearby park that you can fo pullups on
