The society of the newly indoctrinated gathers in mass to celebrate the gift that the Whisper Box has given them. Many of the addicts are so enslaved to the emanations of the device that they fail to appreciate the SPECTACLE before them, and only upon later reflection mourn the loss of experience in lieu of recorded memory.
