- Alex Cox was interviewed by the Chandler Police Department after fatally shooting his brother-in-law, Charles Vallow, in July 2019. Cox claimed he shot Charles in self-defense. Charles Vallow was the estranged husband of Lori Vallow, whose children, Joshua "JJ" Vallow and Tylee Ryan, were last seen in September 2019, and have not been seen since.
Alex Cox died in Gilbert, Arizona in December of 2019.
A medical examiner report shows Charles Vallow's death was a homicide.

He just killed a man and he’s laughing, joking and hyped up. He shows no remorse over what happened. Pure evil sitting there. He’s definitely the one that did the dirty work killing the kids.

Can’t imagine the dark place he was in, and still in, finding out that his mom is a m*rderer, his siblings were m*rdered and his mom likely took part in it, not to mention her affair, and finding out about her past husbands and Chad’s wife. His whole life was turned upside down and became a media circus. I’m sure it was difficult for him to stay focused and work, let alone provide for his pregnant wife. Idk, I just try putting myself in others’ shoes.
As for his YT channel, I think it’s great that he’s been putting work into that and active on it with his wife. I didn’t even know they had one til now.
For someone hit in the head with a baseball bat by a man who played semi-pro baseball, Alex seems remarkably well. It disgusts me the police did nothing, they failed Charles, Tylee, JJ, Tammy and I wouldn't doubt others. He is so relaxed and thinks this is all some joke it makes me beyond angry.
Right!!! I thought the very same thing. I believe that Lori hit him with it prior to Charles arriving. They are all so arrogant & nonchalant about the entire ordeal while still managing to be completely incompetent when it comes to getting their stories straight.

When Charles went to police before his murder and told them that his wife had lost her mind and that she threatened to kill him, wouldn’t the police have seen that under Lori’s name when they ran it in their system?? The question is did Chandler PD read the file before interrogating these two?? Clearly not. It truly is mind boggling how they let them get away with this. Everyone who had any hand in this case should be fired and that police department needs a whole overhaul on training.
I’m pretty sure Arizona has the most incompetent and corrupt Police departments in this country. Just look at the AZ officer who took his date (a healthy 32 year old fitness guru) on a hike, only for her to be found dead behind a house but no investigation into his negligence at the very least. Arizona PD covering for his lying ass. No PD should be investigating themselves and no department should have immunity from prosecution. Instead of tax payers having to pay for their fuck ups and wrong doings, it should come out of their pockets personally. Unfortunately, there is no reforming when the tree is rotten at its core.

it really is incredible that Alex wasn't even held for further questioning. He had a criminal record for tasering an ex husband of Lori's and told everyone he was going to shoot him and bury him in the woods. His plan failed though because the man survived the taser. Alex went to prison for that yet here he sits laughing about killing Charles and his previous history accounts for nothing!!! Really??? It is even more unbelievable that a man with his violent history, is still allowed a gun licence!!!!
Youd be surprised… my dad was murdered by his wife he was married to less than a year in 2012. She poisoned him. They never even questioned her. She received $130,000. I couldn’t even get the police to investigate her or question her. I am still working for justice for Randy Jolley.
@@Amber-nx3iz OMG how terrible. I am behind you in getting justice for your dad. These life insurance companies are too quick to pay out. I find it hard to understand. Very few people in the UK take out a policy like that. It just isn't done to any great degree. I am 63 years old and have never met a single person who has got life insurance.
Alex said they maybe For a day of fun were going to the range , maybe something else.. they weren't sure yet... HOWEVER.. Lori, specifically says she didn't know one way or another if he had his gun... One of many conflicting statements between the two and they just walked right out of there, big smiles and all!!!!

Lori said she asked Alex to stay the night because she was afraid Charles would come by and start something. Alex said he stayed the night so they could go to the range or take the kids and do activities.

wow a 26 minute interview, so thorough 🤦♀️ the cop was more worried about his lunch than a dude who just killed a man. they all avoided saying what Charles was screaming during all this, that is very curious. you would definitely remember everything said in a fight almost verbatim.
Spot on! No one (Alex, Lori and Tylee) remembered a word of what the argument was about. How is it possible? It's so obviously rehearsed. In addition, none of them appeared disturbed or in panic which should be the normal human reaction when a live human being was shot dead at their home. They all seemed abnormally calm. Both Lori and Alex even made jokes during the interviews. Why didn't any police officer or interviewer pick up these suspicious signs? This is serious dereliction of duty. Alex's ex-wife told police that Alex told her that he was going to bait Charles and kill him. This is exactly that. They set up the whole thing and killed the man but claimed self defense.

Whole interrogation is odd. Usually, they seat person being interviewed facing camera.
I wonder, in this LE county, are there many LDS members employed or are there higher-ups in the church that know Lori?

I still can't believe Charles was shot multiple times and that was accepted as self defense. You can hear one of the patrol officers counting the shots. Alex was asked if he called Lori after the shooting and there was a long pause before he said no. He knows they'll probably check. Alex has to be worrying why the detective keeps asking him about being there to protect Lori...Lori was probably telling another detective.
They couldn’t know the trajectory of the shots until after the autopsy. I believe this interview was done before the autopsy. Alex is very cool and the story is well rehearsed. It doesn’t make sense for a man holding a bat to lunge at a man holding a gun.
If he didn't have intention to kill Charles, he would have given a warning shot to back off, I'm who wouldn't. If you don't have intention to kill, you don't aim for the mid chest
@@Lucretciela Good point. However, it’s easy for us to step inside a violent situation and speculate. I do know in weapon training you shoot to kill…not injure. Charles was carrying a bat and he was a former pro baseball player. A definite threat could have been there but the cue de grau was the shot Alex fired when Charles was laying down. That tells me he meant to kill the guy and not get out the a situation.
@Jane Beatty They made sure the scenario would happen so Lori's brother can kill her husband and get rid of him... This whole thing was planned out and carefully orchestrated by them.... Killing Charles was planned out and not a spur of the moment thing.

Very smart and satisfying to know that Charles changed the benifitiary on his life insurance shortly before this. He even discovered that someone had placed a password on the account and had to go trough all sorts of red tape to have it reset and change the policy. This police department didn't even bother to look into that. That's the first thing a well trained police department does when the death of a spouse is involved. "Natural" or otherwise.
And there is no way that a seasoned gunman does not know how many times he fires his gun.. no way!
And that cop should have delved more into Alex's assault charge when Alex fessed up about that
... like maybe ask him who he assaulted that he was charged with assault.. because it would have come up it was Lori's third husband who he assaulted and Charles was Laurie's fourth husband who he assaulted.....by Alex..😮

This is infuriating. I knew he never attempted CPR on him just from listening to his call to 911. This is complete insanity to me that not one of those officers or detectives thought his calm nonchalant attitude/behavior seems WAY off from what one might expect it to be after having an altercation with your brother in law that lead to you killing him. While your niece & nephew are both present at the time it took place!!!

This cop knew they were all LYING, yet they let them walk out of there as if they hadn't just committed murder... And now they have even more blood on their hands... Whoever made the decision to let them walk, should be charged themselves... Shame on all those cops!
Why didn't the police perform polygraph tests on all three of them to corroborate their stories?

Um, how about asking him WHY it took him _more_ than an entire 45 minutes to call 9-1-1, Detective!?
Or asking him why, after he'd apparently been spending so much time being "coached to perform CPR by the 9-1-1 dispatcher," that absolutely NO blood had accumulated out of Charles' fresh gunshot wounds, only finally trickling out a little later, once the Paramedics arrived and began their assessment!?!
Color me crazy but those just seem like critical follow up questions, at the very minimum.

Wow. He kept changing his story. Between his interview, Lori and Tylees it is SHOCKING that they let him go.

If Charles hit him with a bat he definitely would’ve been knocked out of consciousness. He would’ve had more swelling as well. The case was treated too causally. This was another opportunity to save these kids. This has to be the most bizarre case I’ve ever seen!
If he had of done chest compressions like he said, where is the blood.

Theres also evidence NO cpr was carried out as it would have been obvious during autopsy, but there was nothing to show anything had been done to revive Charles. This is awfu, poor soul. Jesus has a very fair justice system and will be swift carrying it out.

This is the first time I've seen an interrogation with only one officer in the room. They had 3 in the room with Alex's widow.
Alex murdered Charles in cold blood, completely intentional. They set him up.
I just can't stand to stay here and listen to all of these lies, yet again. This police dept needs to be scrutinized for their inept handling of this case alone. How many other killers have walked free! All thanks to them. Is it laziness or is there something else going on there?

Interestingly both he and Lori are very vague during their interviews.. Lori States that Charles was sending her threatening text, and when asked what the text said she couldn't come up with anything. And here Alex when asked what Charles was yelling at Lori about plays innocence and ignorance stating he didn't know.. right.
He knew full well that Lori had taken his phone and that's what they were arguing about.. very slick both of them are..
I think the only time Lori ever touched that phone was when she removed it from Charles pocket as he bled out on her living room floor. The reason she said she took it was to justify why Charles (supposedly) came after her.
I just love how they made him wait seemingly forever in that room. It must have been torture for poor lil Al! The closest thing he got to facing justice.
I watched all three interviews. 3 colder, more removed people I cannot recall ever seeing. All three of them had a different story. Lori was absolutely despicable with her lies and callous as callous gets. This POS I couldn't finish listening to. They all 3 had a different story. All three lied about things that have come to light recently. How do you get a kid (16 year old) to be so emotionless & unaffected and get her to lie so effortlessly? Because she learned how from her mom and her uncle.
Tylee was a traumatized kid. People like that learn to detract from their emotions. It’s a survival mechanism. Her interview explains why everyone said she was “tough”. She was emotionally scarred. 😢🥺

No I dont think she would have grown up like her mum she seemed like a kind soul and if she had a chance she could of got away from her mother and lived a life opposite to the way her mother was. I can see she already disliked her mother in this interview it’s in her eyes.
Lori used Tylie as a weapon against her ex-husband Joseph Ryan from the time she was an infant...'Sounds Sus' does a great timeline on this going way back into Lori's family history. Noor Jasmine also has a number videos going over different aspects of this case.
Also... Alex contradicted himself three times over how he got hit with a bat! At 11:05 he said he went down and when he came up they were still arguing (it sounded like he was implying that he was actually knocked out) ...at 23:41 the interviewer asked him specifically if he was knocked to the ground and he said no his head just bobbed... then at 1:47:25 his story sounds different again.
One more. Is that the shirt you were wearing? YES and I gave him CPR.
If you're not reasonable enough to stop and hear/ask what's going on before you get in the middle of some shit, then you're not reasonable enough to own a gun! It's ridiculous that neither him nor Tylee (who runs out with a damn bat) didn't just tell Lori to give Charles his friggin phone. He wasn't attacking her, she was running away with his phone. If she was so 'scared he was gonna hurt her or Tylee' then she woulda just put the phone down to begin with. Once she saw weapons & people getting physical, and her daughter's involved now too, any normal person woulda just set the phone down on the counter and asked him to leave. None of that mattered tho because her only concern was seeing his texts. It's strange that the detective never challenged her on that either.
I doubt Tylee ever ran out with a bat. Charles was going over to house to pick up JJ for the day as Alex, Lori and Tylee were going on a day trip. Lori’s other brother (who was worried about his psycho sister) had talked to Charles and was on his side. He stated Charles was a gentle man AND never went anywhere without his phone. Pretty sure Tylee was brought into the fold when they needed a story. I’d guess Lori bopped him on the head before Charles got there and he was shot as soon as he was in the door.

The texts on his were significant also. He knew it may be some kind of set up and he was communicating with Lori’s other brother Adam about it. He took his side.

I'm sure Alex knew Lori had Charles' phone, but did you notice how he left that information out of his story? Why would Lori and Tylee magically disappear as soon as Charles supposedly hit Alex with the bat and Alex got his gun? Things don't quite add up. I think he had the gun the whole time. We know he didn't call 911 for quite a while or do cpr and other discrepancies.

I am a half an hour into this, i have already seen Tylee's interview, and nobody can remember what the fight was even about. Crazy? Or Planned? I think planned, life insurance is a huge incentive.
Lori had Charles’s phone and I’m sure he was yelling “give me my phone!” It was all planned… they baited Charles to kill him.

Lori stated she asked Alex to stay the night because she was worried Charles would show up the night before. Alex stated he stayed the night cause they wanted to do something fun the next day. Inconsistent.
Alex stated he was staying their cause they were going to do something with JJ the next day. However Lori stated Charles was coming to spend time with JJ and was going to take JJ to school that morning. JJ was in school and Lori knew Charles was going to be with him that day. So why would Alex think he and Lori were going to do something with JJ? Inconsistent.
Tylee and Lori both stated Tylee came out of her room first, then Alex. Alex states he was already confronting Charles when Tylee came out with the bat. Inconsistent.
If Charles was upset about his phone, why didn't Lori just give it to him? Why was she holding onto it causing all this drama? And if Lori walked out of the house with his phone, Charles would have followed her. But Alex states Charles was just standing in the kitchen with the bat waiting for him when he came back from getting his gun. Doesn't make sense. Why would Charles just be standing there if Lori walked outside with his phone? And why would Alex need to bring a gun to spend the night at Lori's and hang out with JJ?
You should of conducted these interviews 😂
Not to mention he lived close enough not to have spent the night for a day trip.

When you look at details of the trail of death around Alex, starting with the death of his older sister, you realize what a heartless, heinous psychopath you’re looking at here. Who is having a basically jovial conversation with an officer that’s handling him with kid gloves considering all. SMH.

How can Alex claim "I was defending my sister", when Lori and Tylee had already gotten outside to safety by the time Alex got his gun. If Charles was so bent on harming Lori, why did he let her leave and seemingly wait around for Alex to come back with a gun? If Lori is already gone, why would Charles come at Alex knowing he has a gun? None of this story adds up

When Charles went to the police about Lori being psychotic and he was concerned, was that entered into the system? If it was those detectives need to be let go. Them allowing Lori and Alex to walk freely after that was the biggest mistake ever. Their stories didn’t make sense, they lied about everything, literally everything. It’s almost like this was the 1st day of their jobs.

Alex Cox is so good that he fooled the Chandler Police Department for murdering an innocent man. His teacher was Lori and Chad Daybell. Chandler Police is trying to clean it up. Its done, dead man can't talk. And so is Alex Cox, what a joke. The people that Alex was working for, in this case Lori and Chad Daybell ended up turning on him. They probably was upset because he didn't finish Tammy off and Melanie's husband. They had to do the job themselves. Luckily Melanie's husband was smart enough to go in hiding. I don't know how Adam Cox survived all this. I'm sure he was next because anybody that got in Lori's way and disagreed with her, they automatically are considered dark and a zombie. Immediately when they catch up with Lori, in Kauai where she married Chad Daybell, suddenly she's placed in a mental hospital. Chad Daybell right now is the Poster Boy for the Judicial System.
I heard that Alex finally realized he was being played by Lori and Chad. My question is who did he tell that to and did they tell Lori what Alex was saying? It’s strange how Alex died right after saying that. The amount of people dead by the hands of Lori and Chad is almost unbelievable. Very sick and strange family.

Obviously all the victims in this case break my heart but it's so, so sad to me that Charles Vallow was trying to be a good dad and that's what killed him. If they didn't have kids together, he probably would've walked away from Lori and never looked back but he went to that house for JJ even though he knew he could be in danger. It's gut wrenching to hear him tell the police that she was crazy and dangerous and the police didn't believe him.

Just think about this if this vile person had been arrested which he should have been … Tyler and j.j. Would probably still be walking on this earth .. and Charles had warned police enforcement enough times about his concerns….. if Charles had been listened too what a different outcome this would have been law enforcement should be held accountable for the injustices that we are all wittnessing today
