Santanu Mohapatra will live in our hearts for ever. It was some 15 years ago I was trying to get a pair of electronic Tabla and Tanpura. My father-in-law managed to get these through Santanu Mousa. He ordered it for me from Calcutta. My father-in-law got it to me here in Houston, TX during one of his visit. The two still works perfect for me, although now there are many digital variations available on devices. I met the great musician during few of my visits to Bhubaneswar. He and his music will remain in my heart for ever.
Very well documented. He is a legend. His compositions bear the essence of Odia folk song, odissi, different ragas. He is a true man of soil. Proud to be Mayurbhanjiaa. Maatira basnaa niaara.

Shantanu mohapatra sir is a genius & legend music composer. He is having multifaceted talent & gifted many melancholic songs to odisha music. Beautiful songs were sang by veteran Md Raffi, Latajee under his composition n direction .Every odia is proud of him. Sir you are great. 🙏🙏🙏
A very commendable attempt by the maker(s) of this documentary. The present generation of Odisha needs to know these maestros and their legendary compositions, to salvage it's pride and respect for odia music and artists. The current crop of movies, music, lyrics only brings shame and disgust.

The coeval music directors,and singers Chita Jena, Akshay Mohanty, Ramkrishna Bhanj, Praful kar , Sikander Alam, Pranav pattanaik, were prominent and admirable singers , directors.
Wish such talent a rebirth in Odisha,Wish such devout of music to be visibly appreciated by artist fraternity, listeners of melodious song & Gov of the state even posthumously

Santanu Mohapatra is no comparison to legendary Akshya Mohanty...Even Radha krushna Bhanja was better than Santanu Mohapatra.. Santanu Mohapatra,Prafula Kar and all the rest are mediocre..They can not create the spin of Akshya Mohanty..
