Use the key dance method, 3x times on-off quickly(remain on) to do a trouble code test within the dash itself, Google the P-codes or lmk if you need any manuals etc, I have a copy of them all saved for every year

True , I love the handling of my 2006 neon, sport trim, stick shift, too bad it got written of when a new driver hit the front end while she's taking chance to make a left turn on a green light, otherwise I will drive that car untill the engine blows.

You did a wonderful repair job on that car. Well done!

My Neon had an oil leak like that, and I ended up being ripped off by a mechanic $150 for parts and 250 for 3 hour labor and that is after negotiating.
I didn't know it's as easy as that.
How I wish this came earlier earlier.

That’s the cam shaft position sensor don’t crank sensor

Yep.. That's the cam position sensor and the cam magnet. My '05 would act up at times, stumbling at 2200 RPMs while shifting then cruising faster than 57 mph. Was intermittent for 6 months then became constant. I replaced the sensor which made the car run normally for 4 days before the stumbling returned. Replaced the magnet and it ran swell for 3 weeks then had codes P 0016 (low oil pressure) and P 0522 thrown again. The oil pressure sensor was replaced last year yet the oil lite and code pop up at times. P 0522 means bad signal between CPS and the crank position sensor. I had my Neon towed to a Walmart where an AZ is across the street. They'll have a crank position sensor for me in the morning $26. It's held on with only one bolt! That cam position sensor is a PITA due to hoses, wiring and air box being in the way of my arms and hands.

There’s no way you have a 2006 neon when the last generation before the reproduction in Mexico was 03-05

Not exactly sure what do you mean but my Neon was a 2006 unless if the ICBC registration is wrong🙂
