Degu Selina ill after getting a piece of paper stuck in her throat

The morning after Selina had the paper in her throat, she was sounding and breathing like this. I was very concerned and called all the vets I could think of as soon as they opened and managed to get her an emergency appointment. They couldn't find anything more stuck, but thought she may have developed an infection, so was put on antibiotics and pain medicine, for I think 7 or 10 days. She was much better right away.
