As a child. I would love rainy days out in the country. I would open the window. And lay my head sideways on the window seal. Staring out into the beautiful trees and yard getting poured on by rain. The smell of the rain and the window screen mixed would be so blissfull. Like gods hands cradling me as i fought not to fall asleep. I have always enjoyed a rainy day more than sunshine. And i do not know why.

For anyone that wants to do this but worries about having there computer on all night just go to windows icon, type in 'run' click on the run icon. Then type 'shutdown -s -t 4000' this means that your computer will turn off in 66mins, so you should be sound asleep by then, hopefully :D

A group of visiting high schoolers toured the college campus and I "was" sitting quietly having driven all the way there to get extra work done on my day off from the work week. Surrounded by bouncing high-schoolers exited to order Starbucks, I was able to finish my writing work with complete focus! (Thanks gentle rain sounds). There is something about listening to this/nature sounds that puts you in a caIm mood where you feel you got to take a peaceful walk in nature...but maybe you really have been in a busy chaotic office, or noisy home. I have been listening to this at work, while I'm doing homework readings and just to sit and journal write. I love this! It's been very calming. While sitting in the cafe area on campus, I was able to get writing done that took close attention and detail--with this gentle rain segment, I was able to concentrate. *Mission Accomplished*

Growing up, I hated the rain. It always cancelled recess, and that upset me. I never had friends, so having no recess just made making friends alot harder.
Not long after I turned 11, I began to realize how wonderful the rain is. It helps you think. It always brings back memories. Some painful, yes, but we take that risk delving into our memories any time.
I began to love the rain because it made me feel safe. Like the water was coming back to protect me. Like a hug from a family member, when you're afraid.
As I got older, the rain began to be slightly more comfortable.
Everytime it rained, I'd just go out there and listen. Tap tap tap tap tap tap tap... I'd hear it hit my roof, and I'd watch it fall. I'd usually get caught in deep thought, and be trapped in my memories.
There was one time where I remembered all the fun times me and my brother had years ago. I almost teared up, as he moved out recently and I miss him.
Then there was another time, I remembered why the rain made me so comfortable.
I don't remember how recently this was. I went searching the outside and it began to rain. I began to seek shelter, and made it to the porch of my house.
All of a sudden, a song came to my mind and began playing in my head. If you know LAKEYINSPIRED, it was one of his songs. Specifically Blue Boi.
I started humming and just... out of nowhere, it's like the rain was telling me that everything was gonna be ok. I don't get randomly happy often, but this brought me great deal of joy.
Even now, as rough as life's been recently, it's like the rain's still telling me it's gonna be ok. I could go outside and it would feel like I'm being told "Everything is gonna be OK. Don't lose hope. Don't lose that spark"
As I'm writing I'm tearing up. I haven't spoken about this but I felt more comfortable saying it here.
I just want to say to everyone going through a rough patch right now, I know what thats like. I may not know exactly what you're going through, but I know how it feels to be trapped in that rough patch that you don't know if it ends or not.
I'm currently on probation, I don't wish to share why, but just know I am, and not a day goes by where I wish I did different. Wish that I held back, didn't make my mistake. It's put my mind in a constant state of not knowing whats going to happen next and it just makes me anxious.
Again, I don't know what you're going through, but I know how it feels to be trapped in a rough patch. Trust me when I say don't lose hope. Believe it or not, everything happens for a reason and life goes on for a reason. Our fates are set to continue in a set path, when people manipulate that path by following another negative path, it hits everyone. I want you to remember there's always hope for a better tomorrow. But tomorrow is not today. I hope everyone is safe, and I hope everyone had a good Christmas. Merry late Christmas everyone.

I love that there's little bird sounds here and there, and that the rain fades harder and lighter in turns. It makes it sound that much more natural.
Seriously ever since I started listening to these rain compilations, I have had so much relaxation and all of my fears and worries disappear.
We are currently experiencing a heatwave here and it's too hot to sleep, so I listen to this with my headphones on to trick my brain into thinking it's nice and cool outside, a refreshing rain that clears all the denseness out of the air. It works remarkably well. :-)

This helped me sleep really well. I normally sleep for around 6 hours, but I slept for 9 while listening to this. It normally takes me around 30-40 minutes to fall asleep, but I fell asleep in 5-10 minutes with this. It kept me asleep during the night. I usually wake up. I really enjoyed it and I will use it more often!

Hi my dear friend! I woke up now after sleeping all night with this beautiful music in the background. But I'm still tired, I'm paying the price after a lot of physical effort cleaning up the flooded space and equipment after the storm. Lots of pain... but oh well. It's normal to feel that way since I'm not fully recovered yet. Despite the fatigue and pain, my sleep was good. My exercise to relax was looking at this boat on the lake and imagining myself lying on the boat, floating and looking at the moon...wow...so relaxing, I could feel the gentle swells of the lake making the boat gently rock, and so, little by little I fell asleep. I woke up well, despite being a little nauseous. It could have been because of the swing of the boat...lol I'm kidding It was because of the pain medication I took, which is very strong But the experience of falling asleep feeling like I was inside the boat and having the music as the frame of the process was amazing! My dear friend Kim, your music really has a special ingredient called love, because I can feel like you like what you do. This is really special! Listening is such a simple act. It requires us to be present, and that takes practice, but we don't have to do anything else. We don't have to advise, or coach, or sound wise. We just have to be willing to sit there and listen.

this is my new favorite relaxation rain mix I accidentally dropped my cell under my bed and this one was absolutely enchanting...someone posted " Why are the birds out when it's raining?" Maybe because there are in the places that the rain cannot reach. My heart could learn from the birds.
