Happy Saturday 😻 thank you for your videos. My favorite foundation is the bare minerals pro!!!! I don't buy foundations online just because I don't do well picking shades lol. I was wondering if you have this issue and if so do you have a fix... My eyeliner always bunches up in the outer corners of my eyes. Drives me nuts 😖 Love your smile !!! Have a great weekend
I absolutely LOVE the Bare Minerals BarePro Liquid foundation. I also wanted to love the Fenty foundation because the finish is great but unfortunately I could find a colour match. I am a colour iq 1y12. Fenty was too orange for me:(
Samantha Jane I picked up the BarePro after your review and I love It! I am uber oily and sensitive skinned. It stays on all day. The oil breakthrough is minimal. Does not cause breakouts. Your review was spot on! Keep the recommendations coming! Loved this video as well! Keep up the good work!😍
I’m currently using the Sephora Make No Mistake stick foundation and am enjoying it for the most part. I have oily combination skin so I wish it were a little more mattifying but otherwise pretty happy with the coverage and wear time.
i grabbed the barepro too, after a doing a little mix and match of what products i use underneath it it's definitely a must have for anyone else like me who is basically an oil factory. i do still blot it midday just to touch up a little but i don't HAVE to, which is incredible considering with most other foundations my face practically looks wet by 11 am.
I really loved that you made an update about all the foundations you tested!!! and the paper cut out foundations was really fun ;) I think i'll try the bare minerals foundation it looks awesome!!! Can you review the make up for ever matte velvet plus?
Naima, you can buy it at Look Fantastic or Feel Unique! With the code 20OFF you get 20 percent off, which makes it around 27 euros. :) Not as cheap as 19 dollars, but American prices are ridiculously cheap anyway haha.
That would be awesome! Samantha Jane, Thataylaa, and Stephanie Nicole are my favorite beauty gurus. As I cut back on watching youtube, I will still keep up with these three. :)
I am glad you were so honest about your experience with the Fenty Beauty foundation. I found the same problems with the foundation. I really wanted to love it because I love Riri! It just did not work for my skin. Thanks for your honesty and review.
i think part of the reason fenty got the recognition compared, to say, make up for ever (who was like “we always had 40 shades!!!” when fenty was marketing for the launch) is that fenty actually markets to black people and people of color in general. MUFE almost has no one on their instagram page with deeper skin tones and they claim that they have 40 shades so we’re basically the same as fenty. lol no. sorry abt that rant i just remembered seeing how other brands (who have been so keen on simply ignoring their black audience along with other people of color) tried to redeem themselves as though just having the shades is enough. if you read this thanks for reading and i loved this video! really want to try the bare minerals foundation!
I totally agree, they really celebrated it from the get go which is amazing! I just hate feeling like I need to tip toe around not liking a foundation ahaha
I have pretty oily skin, and I LOVE the Smashbox Studio Skin 15 hour foundation! It is the only foundation that lasts all day (at least 12hours) on me and still looks perfect at the end of the day. It stays fresh and matte on my skin and helps my blush, bronzer etc last. It controls my oil really well, which I think is funny because it claims to be hydrating.
Great video as usual! I feel like Revlon hasn't put anything good out in years and years 😐 I do like their ColorStay foundation though, that's a drugstore staple for me
I don't have any of the ones you mentioned. My great love, Estee Lauder Double Wear, recently made me sad. I am currently on the road and since purchase Double Wear has been my only travel foundation (I've been taking one BB cream from Philosophy called Renewed Hope In A Jar). Two days ago I knocked my OPENED bottle over onto the hotel bathroom floor. :( The upside is the glass bottle did not break. The downside is I lost about 1/3 of the product! $13 worth of product was wasted (which is more expensive than most of my drugstore foundations). I think that is my cue to go ahead and buy a pump. If I would have had a pump on the bottle I wouldn't have lost that much product (perhaps none would have come out). I may have to try the Barepro. You have been raving about it for a while.
Hi Samantha! Could you do a video recommending only drugstore makeup like an all drugstore makeup kit? Also brushes and good drugstore/inexpensive makeup tools?
I'm so so excited for 12 days of foundation. I actually wrote "15" on accident and had to back up and fix that haha thanks Taylor! I don't even know what foundation to request because I feel like you've almost tried them all lol. All that comes to mind is the Rimmel foundations, but their shade range isn't good at all for deeper skin tones :/
Hahah she owns the “days of foundation” game. I saw on the RIMMEL uk page they’re releasing something new with deeper shades so hopefully it comes to Canada
Hi Sam lov the look! I have the Bare Pro also and it works great! I have to ask...can you please do a makeup tutorial...i just love how simple yet elegant this look is...its been such a while since you did...please please! 😊
I'm really happy to have found a Canadian RUclipsr to follow. Have you tried the new matte foundation from Lise Watier? I am older than you but still quite oily. It doesn't seem to make me look like the Crypt Keeper and keeps the oil at bay.
I felt the same about the Fenty Beauty, I really wanted to like it but it just didn't work for me. When used it I would get oily quickly, and when I would blot it would move around, and I tried to work with if but it was a fail sadly. Love your videos and looking forward to 12 days of foundation reviews
This review was awesome. New to your channel & can't wait to bing watch your other reviews on foundations. Idk if you've done one on jouer or not but that'd be awesome to see!
That’s awesome that so many are loving the BarePro. It’s sooo hard to find a foundation that you love. I have oily/combination skin and I tested the BarePro twice several weeks apart. Both times I couldn’t wait to wash it off my face. It felt extremely heavy and sticky on my face. I am not used to wearing full coverage formulas, so maybe that was the issue.
Samantha Jane thanks for the tip. On the bright side I think I finally found my shade match in BarePro after trying on a few. Turns out I’m #18 Pecan. I’m just excited to have found my perfect match in Bare Minerals as I haven’t had much luck in the past!
I bought the dermacol foundation in the color 223 and thank goodness it's a near perfect match for me, so I guess I'm lucky! It's definitely a cool toned almost olive skin tone and I love using it as a concealer/mix in foundation! The finish is amazing and doesn't flake and dry out or anything, even when it fades, it fades with dignity lol I'm eyeing the Nars stick foundation though... Looks amazing on you tbh
It would be awesome to get an update! What are some of your past faves and do you still wear them? I still wear the barePro Liquid Foundation because of your recommendation a couple years ago, was my first high end foundation and still obsessed
I bought the bareminerals pro foundation and Ulta has it is on sale for 19 dollars. I really like the ordinary foundation. I think I will buy the Estee Lauder foundation next, and I never have liked the double wear foundation.
It's my first time watching you but I can say I love the way you explain every detail about any foundation, what about urban decay all nighter? Was not good on me very heavy, greetings from California
Always enjoy your channel❤️ I ordered the original and it been like a month ago and still haven’t received it but I’m and in the states. You look very beautiful
I got a sample of the bareminerals bare pro foundation and WOW it lasts well which I was I was not expecting (I'm so used to foundations wearing odd my skin quickly...)! Thanks for the recommendation, I really like it. :)
I'm not sure if you already reviewed it but if not I would love to see you check out the new-ish foundation from the Body Shop - Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation. I have combination skin with very dry cheeks and thought it would dry out my cheeks but not at all and it keeps my oily t zone matte for a long time! It is very comfortable too :)
It's a bummer that you don't like the Fenty Beauty foundation. It has been a staple for me since I've bought it. One of the few that don't need me to bloat as i usually do. And when I used it on a hot sweltering day, one of the few that faded gracefully.
If you haven't reviewed the LA Colors foundation, then I'd like to see that in your foundation testing series. Also the Bh Cosmetics foundation. Btw, have you tried the wet n wild eyeshadow primer?
Samantha Jane Yikes! You should check your online retailers. I'm from India & we have the La colors foundation here now for about $8, does makeup release late in Canada too?
Hi Samantha, I recently found your channel and am honestly so excited to find that you have skin just as oily as I do! I am going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding soon and we are doing our own makeup. I have tried quite a few foundations over the years and usually just get disappointed. I really want to buy a new foundation for the wedding and am thinking about trying the bare minerals barepro. What do you think you would wear if it was you? Just looking for suggestions and FYI the wedding will be in the evening so flashback needs to be taken into consideration. Thank you! You are also so beautiful!
I love your foundation reviews! As someone with combo/oily skin, I hold off on trying/purchasing a new foundation until I see what your thoughts are on it. I loved the Bare Minerals one! Looking forward to your next instalment of the 12 days of foundation! Have you tried Mac Prolongwear Nourishing waterproof foundation? I’m very much on the fence with purchasing that one 😊
Could you please try the CoverGirl Outlast foundation? Is the one with the blue cap... I've heard good comments for oily skin but I want to be sure lol .. and you make awesome reviews ♥️ thanks love
I would love to try Revlon colorstay the oily/combination line. But i have trouble finding my shade.Would you be able to suggest one?I am mac nw35 and in the fenty line 280(medium warm peach). In clnique beyond perfecting line 16 toasted wheat.
oh man yes its so annoying to see beauty bloggers look at the sponge on the nars foundation and think thats for blending - calls into question all their reviews... smh
Thank u for these updates. I love your foundation reviews. Falling out of love or sticking for oil control? If a foundation doesn't work, u have the right to return. Love from The Windy City-Chicago
I've not tried any of these foundations. I almost bought a new one over Cyber weekend, but I was like, "Kellye, you already have Four!" So, I didn't buy it.
Happy Saturday! Hope you're having a great weekend :) Out of curiosity, have you purchased any of these foundations I've reviewed? How did it go?
Happy Saturday 😻 thank you for your videos. My favorite foundation is the bare minerals pro!!!! I don't buy foundations online just because I don't do well picking shades lol. You're one of the few people on RUclips who gives an update on your reviews!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH AHHHHHHHHH
I really loved that you made an update about all the foundations you tested!!! and the paper cut out foundations was really fun ;) I think i'll try the bare minerals foundation it looks awesome!!! Can you review the make up for ever matte velvet plus?
It's so so good, I hope you love it :)
Yes i'm sure i'll love it :)
Bare minerals foundations are $19 today at ulta.
I'm so sad i live in France so i cannot order from ulta :( but thank you for the info
Naima, you can buy it at Look Fantastic or Feel Unique! With the code 20OFF you get 20 percent off, which makes it around 27 euros. :) Not as cheap as 19 dollars, but American prices are ridiculously cheap anyway haha.
u should to a collab with thatayla, she can give people very fair option and u can give people medium skin tone options
THAT WOULD BE AMAZING. She’s so so great, love her channel
NaturallyCorrie same omg 😩
You’re so well spoken. The piece about fenty beauty was just so eloquently put. Kudos to you Samantha Jane.
Your initial reviews & this follow-up are so helpful!

Loved that you did an update video! And your lashes look amazing.

Love that one! I reviewed it for my last 12 days of foundation
Great overview!! I would love to learn more about The Ordinary foundation. Maybe include it in the 12 days of Foundation?😊
Great video as usual! I feel like Revlon hasn't put anything good out in years and years 😐 I do like their ColorStay foundation though, that's a drugstore staple for me
I have their new Insta foundation I’ll be reviewing! Their HD Gel Lippies really impressed me last year

I may have to try the Barepro. You have been raving about it for a while.
BurgundyandBlue1111 highly recommend that one!
Hi Samantha! Could you do a video recommending only drugstore makeup like an all drugstore makeup kit? Also brushes and good drugstore/inexpensive makeup tools?
Love that idea, totally will!

wow your makeup looks flawless!!
Hi Sam lov the look! I have the Bare Pro also and it works great! I have to ask...can you please do a makeup tutorial...i just love how simple yet elegant this look is...its been such a while since you did...please please! 😊
Thanks so much Ann! Not gonna lie, makeup tutorials kinda bomb on RUclips haha no one watches them, but I have been doing them on Instagram :)
Bare minerals really was slept on. I have been so in love with it ❤️
I'm really happy to have found a Canadian RUclipsr to follow. Have you tried the new matte foundation from Lise Watier? I am older than you but still quite oily. It doesn't seem to make me look like the Crypt Keeper and keeps the oil at bay.
I haven't!!! Crypt Keeper LOLLLL! I'll have to see if it comes in my colour, a lot of the time they don't make it
I love your paper cut outs Sam 😂
hahaha SO PROFESSIONAL
Paper cut outs made me laugh.
I felt the same about the Fenty Beauty, I really wanted to like it but it just didn't work for me. When used it I would get oily quickly, and when I would blot it would move around, and I tried to work with if but it was a fail sadly. Love your videos and looking forward to 12 days of foundation reviews
Can you make the best powder foundations that you have tried? Thanks!
Yes! I have so many foundations to try, powder included - but my fave as of now and has been for years is MAC Studio Fix
Samantha Jane thanks! 😊
Samantha Jane do you experience any flashback in photos when using MAC Studio Fix powder?
Not that I’ve noticed, I’ve worn it for years but haven’t really tested that
Samantha Jane thank you so much! 😊
This review was awesome. New to your channel & can't wait to bing watch your other reviews on foundations. Idk if you've done one on jouer or not but that'd be awesome to see!
You should try the to faced sweet peach foundation in your 12 days of foundation :)
It’s day 2 ;)
That’s awesome that so many are loving the BarePro.
Oh that sucks!! Maybe use a sponge, lighter layers
Samantha Jane thanks for the tip. On the bright side I think I finally found my shade match in BarePro after trying on a few. Turns out I’m #18 Pecan. I’m just excited to have found my perfect match in Bare Minerals as I haven’t had much luck in the past!
I like the Nars stick foundation too:)
you just saved me so much time and money thank you so much for this video I loved it and I am obsessed with this series please keep it going💛
Oh yay!! So glad to hear it helped :)
I love your videos, your personality, and your honesty. Please consider reviewing the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Foundation!
Oh thank you so much!!
I bought the dermacol foundation in the color 223 and thank goodness it's a near perfect match for me, so I guess I'm lucky! It's definitely a cool toned almost olive skin tone and I love using it as a concealer/mix in foundation!

I'm eyeing the Nars stick foundation though... Looks amazing on you tbh
The paper cut outs always makes me laugh 😹 looking forward to 12 days of foundation
Glad you love them I clearly put hours of work into them ahah
It would be awesome to get an update! What are some of your past faves and do you still wear them? I still wear the barePro Liquid Foundation because of your recommendation a couple years ago, was my first high end foundation and still obsessed
Any of my faves I talk about in monthly faves videos, routines etc!
I bought the bareminerals pro foundation and Ulta has it is on sale for 19 dollars. I really like the ordinary foundation. I think I will buy the Estee Lauder foundation next, and I never have liked the double wear foundation.
The ordinary is going to be in Sephora soon!
It's my first time watching you but I can say I love the way you explain every detail about any foundation, what about urban decay all nighter? Was not good on me very heavy, greetings from California
When I tried the estee lauder water foundation, I was shocked. I have never seen my skin so freaking beautiful

I have SO many foundations so I think I'll be okay hahah I wanted to like it but oh welllll
If you haven't reviewed the LA Colors foundation, then I'd like to see that in your foundation testing series. Also the Bh Cosmetics foundation. Btw, have you tried the wet n wild eyeshadow primer?
Shipping to Canada is 25!!!!! For the new LA Colors, might try and get it while in the states later this month hahah yes I have tried it, I like it

I'd probably wear Dior Airflash, that's a current fave!
What shade so u use in the bare minerals??
I love your foundation reviews! As someone with combo/oily skin, I hold off on trying/purchasing a new foundation until I see what your thoughts are on it. I loved the Bare Minerals one! Filming that review right now!!!
Wonderful! Looking forward to it! 👍🏼
Could you please try the CoverGirl Outlast foundation? Is the one with the blue cap... I've heard good comments for oily skin but I want to be sure lol .. and you make awesome reviews ♥️ thanks love
already did! a long time ago, it's great
Thank you so much for your reviews. I absolutely love you
Aw Elaine thank you so much for your kind words, you’re too sweet!!
My skin is bone dry but I love your videos so I watch all your oily skin recommendations anyway!
Very well reviewed girl 😘
You're My Favorite 💛
Thank you Celica!! xx
I'm dying with these paper cut outs 😂 💕
ahhahaha yesssss
I would love to try Revlon colorstay the oily/combination line. But i have trouble finding my shade.Would you be able to suggest one?I am mac nw35 and in the fenty line 280(medium warm peach). In clnique beyond perfecting line 16 toasted wheat.
sorry I have no idea about shades outside of mine
oh man yes its so annoying to see beauty bloggers look at the sponge on the nars foundation and think thats for blending - calls into question all their reviews... smh
I get it, at a glance it seems like that may be what NARS wants you to do haha but no, NARS knows what's up
Nars weightless luminous foundation
I’m curious about that one!
Thank u for these updates. I love your foundation reviews. Falling out of love or sticking for oil control? If a foundation doesn't work, u have the right to return.
Love from The Windy City-Chicago
Update, please? :)
stay tuned!
I've not tried any of these foundations. I almost bought a new one over Cyber weekend, but I was like, "Kellye, you already have Four!" So, I didn't buy it.
You’re much more responsible than I my friend :)
Samantha Jane I'm sure I would not be if I had a channel! Plus, I didn't escape the Sephora $15 off coupon. 😁
This video made me buy the Bare Minerals one... Doesn't matter I already have like 20 foundations, ahahah
