It went really well until Republican Spain won the Spanish civil war, joined the allies, and invaded southern France with UK and free French support. This did not go well for me. Long story short they take out Italy stupidly fast and invade Germany through Austria and France. Eventually I lose a vastly shorter then expected WW2. BUT THEN, to my surprise, I didn’t “lose” the game. I was now the Republic of Germany! Some more time passes and lo and behold USSR invades Poland.
