Thanks Steven, Paul and Martin. A very interesting thought to listen to what the Earth has to tell us. Here's a fresh poem on that subject... The Garden Beyond Forgetting In the garden beyond forgetting Where the first light lives I hear the crystal call Of a robin that drifts In time as soft seeds do To never fall but ever glide In the cool, clear air. And, further out, in the forest Between the twigs of facing trees Where the air clings Like spider's silk Stretched upon a screen I hear the strange, unearthly call Of a nightingale Beat upon the day To confuse, awe and boil The summer air away.
Absolutely wonderful. Even the technical glitches were charming. I would have loved to see them toast a Lagavulin. This quote from Paul was among my favourites: "“Only in broken things is truth found."
enormous pleasure to hear these two mystical creative heavyweights read from their books. Moderator Steven Sparks did a fine job as well. Can't wait to read their books. They are on order!
Paul's reading reminded me much of the language in Sam Shepard's Curse of the Starving Class and some other of his early American, Family plays. A compliment all the way round.
This is a wonderful discussion of your books and the process. Have you done any collaboration or podcasts with Charles Eisenstein? He has a similar philosophy to you Paul.
The three dark ghosts of Christmas...yikes! Boring can never be the official apology for Spirituality. Give me hope or eff ...sorry I was not allowed to post what I wanted to post so...please would you very much mind if I asked you to...eff orf?.

The Garden Beyond Forgetting
In the garden beyond forgetting
Where the first light lives
I hear the crystal call
Of a robin that drifts
In time as soft seeds do
To never fall but ever glide
In the cool, clear air.
And, further out, in the forest
Between the twigs of facing trees
Where the air clings
Like spider's silk
Stretched upon a screen
I hear the strange, unearthly call
Of a nightingale
Beat upon the day
To confuse, awe and boil
The summer air away.
wonderful, thank you. two great thinkers and speakers of our time. i think it might be interesting for Stephen jenkinson to talk with Martin Shaw?
